Praikamarru Home Stay is located on the edge of a traditional village. Here you can see the Ikat weaving process, beautiful Marapu traditions and architecture and general village life. Eddy, the host has a lot of knowledge he can share because he grew up there. The room has views over the horce racing track. It’s very clean and comfortable.

The room was new, spacious, and very clean. The owners are incredibly kind and love their dogs (and puppies!) - dog lovers will feel right at home here. There’s no AC, but the cool nights made it perfectly comfortable. The Wi-Fi runs on Starlink, so the connection was strong. And the food… absolutely amazing - probably the best we had in all of Sumba! Don’t miss their famous lobster soup!

This place on Sumba is truly unlike anywhere else I have ever been. If you’re looking for a peaceful retreat on a remote island with incredibly kind locals, this is the perfect spot. Secluded does not mean lacking in service—the host made sure everything was well provided. Delicious breakfasts are served by the friendly staff, and you can also order lunches and dinners to your villa, all of which are of excellent quality. The island itself has surprisingly good roads, so you can rent a practically new scooter on-site and enjoy exploring the entire island while taking in stunning views. The host is exceptionally warm and makes you feel at home from the very first moment. And if you still need to work while away, each villa is equipped with reliable Wi-Fi. A hidden gem on a hidden island—I can’t recommend it enough.

Umarato Villa Sumba tiene piscina al aire libre, jardín, salón de uso común y terraza en Rua. It takes about 1.5 hour from the nearest airport. In a secluded area. But when we arrive, we are greeted with such amazing view! Nice property, secluded and tranquil. We are facilitated with full service, and our children comfort is well taken care off. They are super happy because they can harvested their own vegetable to table. They are building new properties, single unit villas with their own private pools and facilities. Perfect for future romantic escape. Not to forget to mention their exceptional restaurant, Umanga'a. We have a top notch dinning experience celebrating our Wedding Anniversary. We would love to going back to Umarato in our future holiday.

Hars Garden is located on the beautiful hills of east Sumba. The view is spectacular. Hars is an amazing host who likes to share his ideas of a true ecological lifestyle, which includes his fabulous garden, that also provides fruits and veggies for your brekkie. Don't be alarmed by the lack of electric air-condition, there's a breeze on the hills that keeps your cute house cool at night. We stayed three nights at Hars Garden and were very well taken care of. Hars knowledge about the surroundings and east Sumba is a source not to disregard.

Alamayah Boutique Retreat Hotel está en Deke, a 6 min a pie de Playa Watu Bella, y dispone de alojamiento con piscina al aire libre, parking privado gratis, centro de fitness y jardín. The hotel is beautifully designed and in a beautiful area very close to some picturesque beaches. The staff are very friendly and attentive and make it easy to organise trips and activities so you can experience Sumba. Surf lessons are a lot of fun and the village tour and waterfall tour are both great. Cocktails were really good, as was the food at breakfast. The hotel seems to have a good relationship with the local people and seems to have genuinely benefitted Sumba.

The staff here is beyond delightful, they made the stay! Helpful, friendly. The aromatherapy massage was excellent as well!
