Absolutely loved La Teranga. Ibou could not have been more helpful and his communication is excellent. The chef is outstanding, the room spotless and the security man always around. A wide selection of trips are available. The village is local and the people are very friendly and welcoming. Definitely recommend a visit to anyone wanting an adventure in this fabulous part of Senegal.

AUBERGE LA PRALINE se encuentra a 49 km de Niumi National Park, en Soukouta, y ofrece alojamiento con terraza, jardín y piscina al aire libre. Desde luego lo mejor de este alojamiento es el trato de yaya, el gerente. Nos dio buena información y nos prestó mucha atención todo el tiempo, incluso acompañándonos al embarcadera para asegurarse de que no habría ningún malentendido, al haber tenido una mala experiencia nosotros en el viaje. Además habla español, lo cual siempre se agradece.

Bed and breakfast Keur Niaye tiene vistas al jardín y está en Toubakouta. Cuenta con restaurante, cocina compartida, bar, jardín, terraza y zona de juegos infantil. Céline's place is excellent - located in the fairly large village of Toubakouta, close to the border with the Gambia, and sitting right on the Sine Saloum Delta. The rooms are large and comfortable, equipped with Mosquito nets, showers and plenty of storage space. The atmosphere around the lodge is relaxed and comfortable, with communal spaces for sitting and chatting, playing games (also provided) and taking meals together. The food is also very good, with fresh bread from the local bakery, homemade jams, juices and yogurt and even some Korean options. There are numerous activities to take part in, easy to choose from from a 'a la carte' book (in Both English and French). This includes things like boats or kayaks in the Delta, guided tours of the region on foot or bike, as well as more surprising options like Tai Chi, African Drumming or lessons on cookery. We took part in a day-long trip with local guide Doudou (who is also excellent) on the water to some of the island and villages in the Delta, and it was fantastic as we got to lunch together with some local people in the Senegalese style. If you're not sure what you would like to do, there's Céline can also help guide you and many of the choices can be arranged at fairly short notice, meaning it's perfectly possible to show up with no plans and just take it from there. Finally, its also worth mentioning that Céline and her husband Gilles who run the Keur Niaye, are also well-known and clearly well respected within the community. They, and their staff, support a number of good causes across Toubakouta and the surrounding area.

B & B Mariamacounda tiene vistas a la piscina y está en Toubakouta. Cuenta con restaurante, mostrador de información turística, bar, jardín, piscina al aire libre abierta todo el año y terraza. We really liked the B&B in general but were especially impressed with the excursions that were offered. David gave us a guided boat tour where we visited the small nearby island towns of Sipo and Missirah and it was one of the highlights of our trip. Jenny was also very helpful with the logistics (especially because I don't speak French!) and helping me organise our time in Senegal. El Hadj is their taxi driver and we organised pretty much our whole trip throughout Senegal with him - he was fantastic. And there are a few restaurants nearby with delicious food. The breakfast offered at the B&B was delicious. Thank you!

El Fathala Wildlife Reserve está ubicado en Toubakouta y ofrece una experiencia en la naturaleza, piscina exterior y aparcamiento privado gratuito. La tienda de campaña es ideal, también la zona común de piscina y hamacas con vistas a las visitas de los animales. La cena muy rica. Tuvimos un problema con la gestión del Safari y la Manager del hotel se portó muy bien con nosotras.
