Staying here was great! It's very close to the airport, and nearby grocery stores. You could walk or ride scooters to just about anywhere if you wanted and the weather was nice. It's a very enjoyable place to stay.

Large,clean and comfortable luxury apartment. The Owner provides all the supplies that guests need, such as washing machine, dryer and high quality kitchen supplies,etc. location is great. Environment is quiet and nice. Closes to supermarket and beach. Close to airport only 5 minutes drive. It is important I want to say that property owner is super kind. When we encountered difficulties time, the owner comforted us and helped us solve the problem, which made us deeply moved. Without a doubt, I will highly recommend this place to my friends and tourists who want to stay in this city.

The property was in pristine condition, with everything you could possibly need. It is very tastefully decorated in a traditional fashion, which makes a pleasant change from the ubiquitous Scandinavian minimalism elsewhere. It is very conveniently located right next to a free car park and a store, a few minutes walk from the town centre. It is 5 minutes from the main car rental locations, and 10 minutes from the airport.

Keflavik International Airport (KEF) Information

Location and Transport

Keflavik International Airport is Iceland’s main aviation hub. It is located 2 miles (3 kilometres) west of Keflavik and 31 miles (50 kilometres) southwest of Reykjavik. There are a few options to get you into central Reykjavik. The cheapest is to take the shuttle bus – either the Airport Express or Flybus, which depart hourly in winter and every half hour in summer, costing ISK 1,800–2,450 depending on the season. Alternatively, a taxi ride from Keflavik Airport to Reykjavik will cost about ISK 10,500.

    I took some tours that I really enjoyed.

    I took some tours that I really enjoyed. The Sky Lagoon, the Blue Lagoon, the Golden Circle and many places in Reykjavik itself. I was disappointed not seeing much of the Northern Lights. The weather decides. Not much luck there. Nothing you can do about it. Worth seeing: The Lava show, Flying over Iceland , Harpa convention center downstairs for the show. Very expensive place. Prepare your budget before going in Iceland. Don't forget the Videy island where there is a Peaceful Tower Lightning in honour of John Lennon. Enjoy your trip.

    Easy to reach accommodation, nice room in a house with big communal areas like kitchen and lounge/dining room. Great location to go anywhere in Iceland. This time I only came to see the active volcano and this accommodation was perfect for my trip. Described with no wifi available, while instead fast wifi was there, so much better than expected. Thanks again.

    This hotel provided me with excellent service, including free airport shuttle at a very early hour (6 am). Room was fine. And the dinner was superb - much better than I would have expected given that there's no other choice for dining in the vicinity, as far as I could tell. Delicious food and again, great service. I recommend this hotel to anyone wishing to stay close to the airport.

    We stayed overnight in Keflavik for ease of getting back to...

    We stayed overnight in Keflavik for ease of getting back to the airport in the morning. Once we arrived, I checked into Hotel Keflavik early so we had somewhere to stash our bags, and then we head to Kökulist for really delicious coffee and their delicious pastry offerings. I definitely recommend checking them out. After that, we spent some time walking around the waterfront, checking out the different murals and art installations. We stopped by Giganta’s Cave which was super cute and a big hit. We had lunch at the restaurant at Hotel Keflavik, which was delicious and later had dinner at the restaurant at the Park Inn, both of which I would recommend.
