Wow this hotel is pretty! Yes the star attraction is the direct ocean access and lounge area but the rooms and dining area are lovely as well! People do reserve chairs for themselves in the morning but I felt there was enough turnover that chairs did become available throughout the day allowing others to have a chance at sunbathing, at least when we stayed in September. Buffet breakfast was nice, with a good range of food to suit most tastes. Super close to the port which means no extended lugging of bags at check in and check out. The other areas of main town were also super walkable from the hotel.

With panoramic views over the Gulf of Napoli, Hotel La Madonnina is located in Casamicciola Terme. It offers a private beach, terraced gardens and free WiFi.

A gorgeous, 4-star hotel and it shows. Lovely decor inside and out, exceptional service from checking in all the way to checking out. Breakfast was delicious. I started to develop an unhealthy obsession with their espressos for some reason. It was clean, well-kept premises, close proximity to supermarket, pharmacies, and small downtown/port area.

San Montano Resort & SPA features a natural sauna,11 out-door thermal pools, an in-door pool, a wellness centre, gyms, a garden and free WiFi.

I loved everything about Boutique House Fio! Gianni the host was so kind and helpful, and started communicating with me right after my booking (which was months before my stay). He met me at the ferry and drove me back to the house and gave me excellent tips about where and what to eat and how to get around Ischia. The room is beautiful (even more than in the pictures) and is clean and very comfortable with lots and lots of storage, seating and a table (as well as a small kitchen and balcony). The location is perfectly in the middle of everything - a short, easy walk to the port and to a supermarket, very close to a lovely beach, close to restaurants and shopping, around the corner from several bus stops, a 15 minute walk to Spiaggia dei Pescatori with its gorgeous view of the Castello Aragonese,, and about a 20 minute walk (or short bus ride) from the Castello itself. There is only 1 short flight of stairs to get to the room.

Located on Ischia, Mezzatorre Hotel & Thermal Spa has an outdoor pool and sun terrace with views across to Naples.

There are not enough stars to rate this place. Everything about it is extraordinary - building, rooms, design, food, view, atmosphere.
