Beach Hotels in Cenote Azul

We had an amazing two night stay! The beach in front of the property is gorgeous. There are hammocks in the water, swings, kayaks, paddle boards, and chairs in front of the water. The rooms are amazing and so comfortable with Netflix, air con, mini fridge, shower with hot water, etc. One of the best parts is being able to use the scooters to go all over town which is included. The property is out of the town but by having the scooters, it makes it easy to go into town. The property is super clean and the workers are very nice. Breakfast is brought to your room each morning and includes a sandwich, fruit, and pastry. It's basic but good. You get one coffee pod to make in your room per day which is good. If you want you can purchase more. Each day they also restock your mini fridge with two beers, two waters and two sodas. They also clean your room daily and the property is kept very clean. This was definitely a splurge for us but if you use all of the amenities it can be worth it.

The area is really really stunning, the view from the room is amazing. The outside terrace is beautiful and at night the little lights and sunset just look amazing. I truly have nothing bad to say, the breakfast was varied and filling and I will absolutely come here again. There was kayaks free to use whenever and a jet ski for 1200 pesos per 30mins for 2 which was very fun! I absolutely recommend, the staff are lovely and helpful. We will be back!

Wonderful newly furnished property right on the lake. The staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful and couldn’t do enough to make our stay enjoyable. The ability to book the palapa for a private meal on the lake was a huge highlight for us. The food was also absolutely delicious - expect fine dining!

Wow! What a place. We loved everything about it. It’s a little piece of heaven. The staff were all amazing. The daily activities were all fantastic. We only stayed for 3 nights but managed to do 2 yoga session, an afternoon of SUP’ing, a water colouring class, a mezcal tasting and a massage. The highly was definitely the sunrise SUP’ing. It’s a must. Make sure you book a room with a lake view as it’s definitely worth the money!

Everything!!!! Really beautiful surrounding, oasis of calmness, and of course… the most attentive, friendly and kindest host we have met! Eduardo is super friendly, makes sure you’re okay, always willing to help and he just makes the whole experience a 10/10! But also the ladies, who cook breakfast (which is lovely!!), who clean your room perfectly clean every day, are amazingly friendly. It is super nice to walk up with the sunset, with a view over the lake, have your breakfast with this view, park your car here safely, walk within half an hour to the city and walk to many great restaurants nearby. Please follow Eduardo’s recommendations because we had the best dinner, every night! We would recommend this location to everyone ♥️

I really loved our balcony with our hammock and perfect views on the lake, I also liked the atmosphere, it's very cosy and I felt very comfortable being there. Horacio is a perfect host, always friendly and helping you with everyhing you needed. And Boris the dog is lovely. I also really liked the possibility to take one of the kayaks of the Hotelito to explore the lake. So easy and without any costs.

We arrived very early, 6am and the hotel were very accommodating and provided us a room straight away. We had booked a room with sea view. The wi-fi was not working upon arrival and shortly after checking in we were offered a room on a different floor, the WiFi was working on that floor but the view from the room was amazing. I woke every morning to watch the sunrise during our three day stay there. I would definitely recommend a room with view of the lagoon. See attached pictures of sunrise. The staff have a basic grasp of English and it was more than my Spanish but they were very helpful and where we couldn't understand each other we used Google translate. We had meals in the restaurant, the menu was changed whilst we were there and compared to other places nearby the cost was slightly cheaper. There is a small pool and some seating by the lagoon, it was nice to sit by the lagoon and watch the boats go by and also there was a bit of a breeze there. It was very hot and humid during our stay so the breeze was much welcomed. Our room was a good size, we had two double beds. The air-conditioning was much needed at some times to cool down and worked well. There is a smart tv although we didn't really use this much during our stay. Taxi was arranged for us to go to the bus station when we were leaving. Overall really enjoyed our stay at the hotel, it was a 20 minute walk to where we had arranged a boat trip of the lagoon and less than ten minutes by taxi to a supermarket. Highly recommend and would not hesitate to stay if we visited again.
