We had five wonderful nights at Matumani guest house. And we did not want to leave. Such a beautiful house, with a wonderful garden and breathtaking view. In a quiet area away from noisy tourist areas. And most of all Margret took so good care of us. We were served lovely homemade food, and she spoilt the kids with little homemade treats. Margaret organised and helped us with anything we asked for with a smile. We had the barbecue on the beach on our last evening, and it was amazing. The octopus was the best we ever had, and it was such a wonderful experience. We did a snorkelling trip and a sunset cruise organised by Margaret on a beautiful dhowe, both being lovely trips. We will recommend everyone to stay at Matumani. We hope to be back one day.

This place is as beautiful as the pictures. The staff is very warm/ friendly and very welcoming. The hotel is very clean. The breakfast selection was good. The hotel is at the beach front so u wake up to sea views ( sea facing rooms) and could take morning / early evening walks🌅. You can book your activities through the hotel. Most importantly the hotel is family friendly as well. Sea food platter was delicious 🤩

Beautiful place where even small details are well considered. Owners Thomas and Malgo are extremely professional and ready to make your vacation wonderful. Their chef/cook is making wonderful dishes that beats easily the food at The Rock restaurant. Their masseur at SPA is really good!

Our host, Dorice, was super kind and very attentive to our happiness during the stay. The room is very nice and objectively a really good value for money. I also liked that we could have as much water as we wanted ( on a refillable bottle, so no plastic waste) Breakfast was also tasty and abundant

The villas will far over perform your expectations: the size, the spaces , the level of comfort , the ocean, etc Perfect service of the staff. Any wish only a Whatsup message . Good food . The chef try to meet all your expectations. If you are on full board, you are really in position that you desire to try everything, but have no chance for it . Pool and Jacuzzi over the sea. . Nothing was too much trouble. The owners and staff would respond to any request immediately- we felt like we had found our little piece of paradise. The location was fantastic - loved watching the fisherman come in with their catch and the locals living their lives. Breakfast was amazing. The chef prepared whatever you wanted off the comprehensive menu. The poached eggs and pancakes were our favourite.

Amazing location on a quiet beach! Truly the most incredible stay, made even better by the amazing staff who were so helpful, kind and friendly! The food was absolutely delicious, every meal was better than the last! It was a very special few days in Matemwe. Will be dreaming of returning!
