Great place to chill after the hustle and bustle of other parts of CR. Nothing was a problem for Yoni or Ana, including using a washing machine and a very early breakfast on departure day. We had a cabana which was awesome with monkeys right out our window. Would have stayed longer if we didn’t have flights booked.

Beautiful, clean accommodation! With delicious breakfast. The atmosphere in the hotel was quiet and the decor was pleasant and comfortable and also a lovely large swimming pool! Herve helped us out with good recommendation to eat and had good suggestions how to travel further on because there was a roadblock Thx so much!! Herman en Gea

the host is a super nice person, super friendly, is that kind of person which you can sit and talk for hours with a beer, wine, coffee or tea. Also, the place was very clean and comfortable.

Excellent place! No air con, but fans are sufficient. Stay here if you want an amazing sea view, relaxed atmosphere, clean rooms, direct beach access etc. Its best to book one of the 3 rooms upstairs. The staff are very friendly, and this place is a bargain for the location and setting. Montezuma is great too.

Located in a quiet area - very peaceful. We enjoyed driving through a local community to reach Lodge Margouillat. Beautiful grounds - Thomas has created something very special. We were in Tambor bungalow - very spacious; lovely furnishings; wide, comfortable, bed with lovely bed linen; walk-in closet with shelves and hanging space; good-sized bathroom with large shower area; settee, coffee table, chairs and table in living room area; good-sized fridge/freezer (much bigger than expected); outdoor seating in secluded area. Two lovely pools - we made very good use of these. Thomas was a great host and was very welcoming - he gave useful recommendations and we enjoyed our conversations with him. We ate at Al Chile 4 times - good food, cheap, and where locals also eat.

Wow, can't say enough great things about Casa Calocita! From the moment you arrive you feel like you're part of the family. There's such a beautiful community vibe here and the property is beautiful. The grounds are meticulously cared for (literally, Andrina was trimming the grass with hedges/scissors hehe) and the hotel is soo clean. Jacqueline cleans everything daily and was even washing the property's standing fans + blades during my stay. I feel like those small things are often missed, but not at Casa Calocita. Jean and Andrina have the cutest pup named Chi Chi and it feels like a home away from home. The community kitchen is clean and well-cared for with filtered water, free coffee & tea available at all times, and it's a great place to meet other people staying at the hotel. There's a hammock, yoga platform, nice relaxing areas and the rooms are great! The beds and sheets are comfy as well and very spacious, with plenty of spaces to keep your things. There is an outdoor co-working space too. This isn't a busy, high-energy hostel vibe with tons of people bustling about like you might find at Somos or Selina. It's more of a chill, relaxing space with a family/community vibe and opportunities for small group interactions, which is what I was looking for. The location is on the south end of Santa Teresa, with close beach access, supermarkets and restaurants nearby. The Bakery is a must-try and it's only a 5 min walk from the hotel. Overall, if you get the chance to stay at Casa Calocita, consider yourself lucky! I am very grateful I stumbled upon it. :)

Great position very close to the sea, you can hear the waves and lots of birds and even monkeys at sunrise and sunset. Very good food at the restaurant. The shower had hot water.

Amazing small hotel with super friendly and helpful owners and staff. Very delicious breakfast, amazing location and stunning garden inside. Small nice pool ads to cozy and relaxed atmosphere. All rooms are equipped with terraces with hammocks which boost the whole atmosphere!

The location was perfect 5 min walking to the beach and nice restaurants

- we had a villa with sea view (actually all villas have sea view ;-)) - we enjoyed being surrounded by amazing nature and the peaceful, quiet atmosphere to relax and unwind - it’s a very well maintained property, plants, flowers, trees and even animals (eg tucans who came close to our kitchen window) - villa had a sun-shaded terrace for relaxing, reading and eating meals and you can walk to the waterfall to the property jungle directly - we used additional roof top terrace for yoga and looking into the stars at night - Ken and Johnson are incredible nice hosts Overall recommendation to stay for some days to get the best out of it.
