Outstanding food, some of the best meals we have had in Devon. The Venison was sublime and the steak was just the best steak ever, desserts were just wow! The actual Inn was the cosiest and full of history and mystery! Overall a superb place to eat and sleep, staff were very friendly and very hardworking, A really great place to stay. We have stayed here several times and once again, Tess and her team were excellent. The New Years eve meal was very very good with excellent service (as usual). We will be staying again as soon as we are able to.

Lovely welcome from Wendy and Peter. The accommodation was warm and inviting. Wonderful views from the bedroom window and the breakfast room. Lovely quiet area in the middle of the countryside. Delicious continental breakfast. We would thoroughly recommend it.

The location was perfect., quiet and hiking just in front of the door. The garden room was lovely, clean and we appreciated the tea, cookies, coffee and hot chocolate very much. The bed was very comfortable and the shower had great pressure. The garden is beautiful. Lots of space and enough chairs and tables to sit and relax. The food in the pub was really nice and the breakfast hamper perfect. We hope to be back soon.

The Cornish Arms is a real treasure! This is a traditional fine dining pub-hotel combination, with both components fulfilling the highest standards. The rooms are beautifully appointed and very quiet (we couldn't heat the pub at all); ours had a hedgehog theme. Spent a peaceful and relaxing night in the very comfy bed. All the amenities are brand-new but well selected to reflect the historical character; nice decoration details. Check-in was smooth at the pub bar doubling as reception. Without reservation, we got a table in the restaurant downstairs, and the food was simply stunning, with local specialties reinterpreted by a splendid chef. The hotel is in the middle of the market town of Tavistock (with parking in back), just minutes away from a beautiful mountain view of Dartmoor (check out the sunset). Picked up lots of souvenirs in the local deli (around the corner) and farmers' market, all within walking distance.

Location was great, welcoming and well furnished rooms. Breakfast smoothie was amazing. Went on lovely walk on the moors and evening meals at a neighbouring pub was fantastic.
