Great place if you want to stay in a traditional house but with modern facilities. We had everything we needed on site. The room was big as it was composed of 2 rooms that could be separated with panels to have a sleeping room and living room. The location is close to the station, close to a supermarket, etc. The host was so kind, and so helpful. At arrival she gave us some maps, pointed interesting spots and even drove us to the station to show us the bus stop for Nikko Wonderland for the next morning. We were offered an amazing breakfast, and also little gift when we left. 本当ありがとうございます！

It is very, very nice! "Feels like home" type of vibe! The location is right next to the station, so it is easy to travel around Nikko. There is a combini right next to the property in case you need anything. The house keeper is EXTREMELY friendly and will help give you reccomendations and even help you make a plan. I wish I could have stayed longer! It was truly a special experience.

it was super close to everything. it was clean, super cozy, and had a very pretty Japanese style. The hosts where some of the nicest people we have ever met met. They made staying at the stay house an experience in itself. we would definitely stay there again if we ever go back to Nikko.

The hosts! Super welcoming and helpful. Even though they get busy with all the other guests, they always take the time to give you many advice or help. The dinner is delicious and breakfast although simple very fulfilling (and for both of them they don’t charge a lot!) The room are spacious, clean and a personal touch from the host for the decoration which I love. Didn’t try the baths, but seem very relaxing and intimate (for 2 persons max) The house is surrounding by trees, very peaceful.

This is definitely a place with a soul. The man running this place is amazing, hearing all his stories was a pleasure. He also offers great guidance abbout Nikko. Breakfast was great, amenities clean, and the location is very convinient. I was very surprised by the quality of my stay. Sweet potato treats were a great bonus :).

Lovely, clean and quiet place. Izumi was a great host. The breakfast was absolutely delicious. We had the privilege to see a mother deer with its fawn from our deck, it was spectacular. We highly recommend this beautiful stay.

Location is very good, close to most of the main temples in the area and a few nice restaurants nearby. The hotel is simple yet charming and well kept and the private Japanese bath is a plus. Staff is friendly.

Quiet scenic location. Everything walking distance. There are several restaurants near by. We didn’t have breakfast at the property so can’t comment. Lovely private onsen. First come first serve. Next to the river so can watch the river flowing by from the onsen. Kanmangafuchi Abyss starts at the hotel. Don’t miss it.

Great hosts who went out of their way to make our stay very comfortable. Spotless house, quiet location, beautiful touches to make it feel homely, an awesome bath that stays hot and fills automatically- the best bath I have ever had! Hosts had information including timetables for buses, shows at edo wonderland at their finger tips. Walking distance - 5mins to bus stop and only 10mins tops to train station. Host also took us to the train station in their private car - very friendly, polite and helpful. Loved our stay and wish we stayed longer.
