The hosts were incredibly sweet and went above and beyond to help us arrange a fantastic safari experience. The room was very clean and comfortable, though the Wi-Fi was not working during our stay. The food on the first night was just okay, but the hosts were quick to adjust the breakfast to our tastes, which we appreciated. Overall, their hospitality made our stay truly memorable.

Me and my sister stayed here for 1 night to do the safari. The owner and his staff really looked after us! They arranged with everything we needed, booked the tour the same day as we arrived, served us both lunch and dinner. They also help us with transport both there and to our next stay in tangalle. Really nice and sweet!! 😍 Recommend!

Our stay at Udawalawe Elephant Safari Lodge was absolutely amazing. We arrived at night and were warmly welcomed with a refreshing drink and a clear plan for the next day. Suru, our host, was incredibly helpful and even carried our bags into the room for us. The rooms are simple but very comfortable—perfect for a short night’s rest before heading out on safari in the morning. At 6 a.m., we started the day with a hot cup of coffee/tea before setting off. Suru’s off-road safari vehicle was very comfortable, and it only took a short drive to reach the entrance of the national park. The safari itself was smooth and unforgettable—we spotted over 10 different species of animals, including three families of elephants! Suru made sure we felt safe the whole time and even took some wonderful photos of us to remember the trip. Back at the lodge, we ended our stay with a refreshing dip in the pool and a truly delicious homemade breakfast (10/10—absolutely to die for!). All in all, I can highly recommend staying at this lodge when visiting Udawalawe National Park. The location is ideal, and the warm hospitality made our visit extra special.

We had a truly unforgettable stay, thanks to the breathtaking Mango Safari Camping and the outstanding dedication of the team. We spent one night at the charming and peaceful campsite and were warmly welcomed. We went to the Elephant Transit Home which was an unforgettable moment in our life where many baby elephants are bottle-fed by humans. The actions and demonstrations done by baby elephants were amazing and somewhat similar to human babies, which was funny to see. We were treated to a traditional Sri Lankan dinner by the bonfire – the food was very delicious. In the morning, we enjoyed a jeep safari in the Udawalawe National Park, we could see ample of elephants feeding on grass, deer, water buffalo, and birdlife of the area and the scenery was simply stunning.

The hosts were so lovely and couldn't do more to help. Our room was big clean and comfortable. They cooked us generous and delicious meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner). Served us fruit fresh from their garden which they were kind enough to show us around. They organised us transport to our next accomodation and also organised for us to go the elephant transit orphanage and a fantastic safari package at a great rate (also packing us a big breakfast to take). The location is quiet and close to the park entrance. Thanks to the whole family again!

The place is just amazing, Sandeep was very kind and he did everything to make feel us like at home. We really liked that young guy like him started this modern project and it is important to support local people like him. The cabin was clean and spacious, the view from the cabin was the highlight! The cleanest stay we had in Sri Lanka. The owner was amazing and very kind! He helped my sick husband with Sri Lankan remedies and took great care of us. We also arranged a safari through them, and it was fantastic! Worth every penny!
