Location was great since it was about 100 meters from dozens of stores, and then 100 more meters to a huge market, very safe area, even at night. Staff extremely friendly and helpful.

It’s not a huge place so it doesn’t get the hustle and bustle of a big hotel. It offers more privacy and is quiet and safe. A perfect location upon landing at the airport that morning and the pick up at the airport was so appreciated. Location is good. It’s a 10 minute walk to the mall and grocery store (Carrefour) to get everything you need for your safari - SIM card, currency exchange, water, adaptor, snacks. The staff were lovely! The on-site restaurant has a view and excellent food. We ate there both nights because it was so good. Try the pizza, the soup and the yakitori. If you go to the botanical garden the entrance is across the street. Ask for the guide named Bright. He’s has a degree in biology and is very knowledgeable about the plants and animals. There is an entrance fee and a fee for the guide. Make sure you get a good guide.

They have a couple of super loveable dogs and the gardens surrounding the property were full of exotic birds, geckos and even monkeys! So quiet at night. The property is super clean and they don't charge extra for water! Dave, the owner, was a terrific host with a wealth of knowledge in the area as well as having access to other tours and guides should you wish to book a tour and have not yet. Put Alison & Dave's guest house on your list to visit when you are in Intebbe. I guarantee you will not regret it!
