This surely is an exceptional house! Large rooms, plenty of space to sit and relax. Very well equipped kitchen to make your meals if you wish. Renovation is done with good taste and honoring the old house. Nice back garden too. Parking was easy, lots of parking slots just outside the house. We went to see the bog and had a nice walk there (The Abbeyleix Bog Project).

Fabulous location in a forest on the edge of the town. Our room was beautiful, large and well appointed. The breakfast was delicious and our hosts very hospitable. Could easily have stayed more than one night.

It was lovely, beautyful. We couldn't have find a better place than this. We felt like home. We booked just 1 room for 4 persons but at list the owner told us, that we can take 2 separtely rooms if we like. The breakfast was also perfect. Thank u sooo much 😍 We got more and more than we paid for.

Gerry and his lovely wife were excellent hosts. Also there is the lovely grandchild Oisin. A beautiful house so well presented, warm friendly beautiful central location. Breakfast was a dream, juice, fresh coffee, fresh fruit, yogurts, granola, home made breads, and vegetarian Irish breakfast 😋 This house home lacks nothing. A Dream stay! The house is so beautiful, very historic and all the furnitures are awesome. You really feel like you're a time traveler . The room was perfect with no tv! Which is actually a huge bonus to keep yourself in the past. Amazing couches and books selection to relax. Shower and bed were excellent. The house is well heated. Finally, James is the best host: helpful, full of information about the house and a great cook. The breakfast was delicious with fresh eggs and homemade marmelade. In conclusion, a perfect romantic night for you and your partner.

We loved the stay in this big, beautiful and well equipped house. It was very comfortable, had a nice outdoor seating and lot of space. The big supermarket is just by the corner and you can also find a couple of pubs and cafés in a walking distance.

The property was spacious, well equipped, and immaculately clean. The beds were so comfortable. Janine was available at all times in case we needed anything, and she popped in each day to make up the wood burner. The views around the property are stunning, even on rainy days.
