They served delicious breakfast for a nominal fee. Could have a warm shower. Enjoyed talking with owner. Very close to all the Lamu action. Owner had connections with others who could help with boat transfers to airport, town tours, boat race viewing etc

I had an absolutely wonderful stay in Lamu! The location was incredibly accessible, making it easy to explore the area. Our host was fantastic — welcoming, attentive, and always ready to help with any requests. The property was ideally situated near local amenities, so everything we needed was just a short walk away. Plus, there were so many activities to enjoy, from scenic walks around the island to boat rides and exploring the rich history of the area. It was truly a memorable experience, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking to visit Lamu!

El Kijani Hotel está situado en la costa de la isla de Lamu, en el océano Índico. Ofrece piscina y jardines naturales. Este hotel presenta adornos, lámparas y muebles naturales hechos a mano. Beautiful location in Shela village, stunning gardens around the hotel and a short walk to Shela Beach which goes on forever. The restaurant at Kijani is amazing, better than Peponi! Definitely have the Kijani Crab Curry!

Shiban House se encuentra a 6 min a pie de Playa de Shela y ofrece alojamiento con centro de fitness, terraza y cocina compartida. Se ofrece wifi gratis. Lo mejor del alojamiento es Joseph que está siempre dispuesto a ayudarte y acompañarte cuando lo necesitas, así como a enseñarte los caminos para ir a los distintos sitios, haciendo el viaje mucho más seguro para viajar sola. La habitación es grande y la cama también. La casa es acogedora con decoración detallada y unas terrazas muy chulas.

Mangrove House se encuentra en Lamu y ofrece alojamiento con jardín, zona de playa privada y terraza frente a la playa, a pocos pasos de Manda Beach. Really beautiful. A haven of serenity and calm. Exceptionally kind and helpful staff. When food is requested and cooked to order it’s of higher quality than that in the luxury hotel along the beach.

Samaki House, que cuenta con jardín, salón de uso común, terraza y wifi gratis, se encuentra en Lamu, a 2 min a pie de 18th Century Swahili House Museum y a 300 metros de Lamu Museum. El alojamiento es muy cómodo. La atención de Moses fue excelente y el desayuno muy rico! Nos ha encantado este alojamiento. Lo super recomendamos.

Beytsalam está a 2 min a pie de 18th Century Swahili House Museum y ofrece alojamiento con jardín, salón de uso común y cocina compartida. Hay wifi gratis. Beytsalam means hospitality. Everything was perfect, from our arrival (with a pick up from the airport arranged by the hotel) to our last day on the island. The location is very good, close to the sea and the port (for a day trip on a boat) and the city center, which makes you really experience the life of Lamu. The hotel manager helped us organise various activities, like a boat trip and a snorkeling trip and all exceeded our expectations: the crew, the food and the experience as a whole were great. He also recommended good restaurants nearby which we really loved. We always felt safe and that we had someone to rely on. The hotel itself is in a very nice building and we really enjoyed the breakfast on the terrace with the sea view. The room was clean and comfortable. We wished we could have spent more days there!

El Banana House and Wellness Centre cuenta con piscina al aire libre y se encuentra en la localidad de Shela, a 2,7 km de la galería Baraka. El establecimiento se encuentra a 2,8 km del fuerte Lamu. The place is amazing, and the service is even better. They take great care of you and stay attentive in case you need anything throughout your stay. Special mention to Olivers, Michael, and Jackie :) I’m definitely coming back!

El Sabrina's Whitehouse, situado a solo 10 metros de la playa de Lamu, alberga un restaurante y un porche en la azotea con vistas panorámicas al océano Índico. Everything about being in Shella countless times, is my peace. Ambience, Ben was available to assist with anything needed, good hospitality. And not to mention how accessible it was, you will find everything you need within that space from shops to hotels , beach view and sunrise.
