Comfy beds, sweet, friendly hosts/workers who were very accommodating, the huts are very cool looking (hammocks). It’s amazing they’re really in the jungle but still nearby where you wanna be. A good price for what you get. Washrooms are nice and clean. Everyone hangs out in the main shared area (restaurant area) and plays guitar and plays cards in the evening (but not too late, quiet hours are respected). During the rainy season, you can swim in the pools of the waterfall that is literally one second away from the lodge.

Tia was incredibly helpful and the people in general who work for Rambai and within Bukit Lawang are so so lovely. She helped sort us out with a guide to go and see the Oragutans and we managed to see 8 of them in one day. The guides are knowledgeable, interesting and passionate giving a wonderful overall experience. The food was exceptional and Tia is a phenomenal cook, always providing us with delicious fresh fruit afterwards. The location was exceptional, right on the edge of the National Park and with the roaring sound of the river outside, it was big, clean and comfortable. When we arrived we were greeted by Thomas Leaf monkeys on our porch, it was truly magical and I would recommend this place in a heart beat.

Great view, good fresh breakfast. Owner amazingly helpful, even ensured my safe shared car travel and checked back with me.

We stayed here for one night before our jungle trek. We booked our Medan airport to Bukit Lawang transport and the jungle trek with them. From the time of booking till we left the place; Brian and his team were extremely helpful. Sarah cooked delicious dinner for the night. The place is value for money and they even provide good breakfast. Our tour guide for the forest trek was Rosyid & his assistant Theo. They were absolutely amazing and the best throughout. I could complete my trek on the last day because of their motivation throughout. We can't recommend them enough. The food that they served during trek was also really good. Rosyid and Theo went out of their way to help a random guy during the trek who was unwell and made sure to give him the medicines and took extremely good care of him till he got better and help arrived. It didn't matter to him if the guy was part of our group or no and that shows how professional and caring they are. Magic tricks by Rosyid at the campsite was very entertaining. There was also Manto who cooked extremely delicious dinner and breakfast for us and helped with the river tubing. Would definitely recommend staying at Sumatra Thomas Leaf Monkey Guesthouse in Bukit Lawang.

Jhony is a very friendly guy and a very knowledgable and experienced guide. We will definitely return someday to do a longer trek!

JUNGLE LIFE GUEST HOUSE - Trekking & Transport Only Book With Us está frente a la playa en Bukit Lawang y tiene bar. Hay terraza, wifi gratis y parking privado gratis. Property was clean and overlooked the river view. My stay was excellent, and I also booked the jungle trek with them. It was absolutely amazing, and it was their own business. So it was a small group. Ricky and Anto were great with taking care of us. You should really try this activity! It’s very very worth it, and rest assured you are in good hands.

Batu Kapal Guest House & Jungle trekking tiene jardín, terraza, restaurante y bar en Bukit Lawang. El alojamiento dispone de servicio de habitaciones, recepción 24 horas y cambio de moneda. La estancia en Batu Kapal ha sido de 10. El personal es muy simpatico, muy amable y se han mostrado siempre atentoa para ayudarnos en todo. El hotel esta situado cerva de la selva, no hay ruidos para dormir y se oyen y ven monos (y orangutanes también ql parecer, pero nosotroa no loa vimos). La habitacion estaba muy bien, con vistas a la selva y con un baño, todo perfecto. En el hotel hay un reataurante increible, con platos tipicos de Indonesia, miy muy ricos y baratos. Tambien hay un rio a 2 minutos andando sel hotel, que es donde vimos a los monos. Hicimos el trekking de los orangutanes de 2 dias y una noche con ellos y no pudo ser mejor, vimos a todo tipo de monos y orangunaes. Gracias Zuzu y Habibi y a todo el personal por todo!

Ecotourism Bukit Lawang Bungalow se encuentra en Bukit Lawang y dispone de jardín, terraza y restaurante. I loved my stay here! The bungalows are cosy and comfortable, located in a quiet area of forest away (but not too far) from the business of Bukit Lawang centre. There’s also a lovely river swimming spot just 5 min walk away! What made my time here the best was the kindness of Putra, Maya, and Fitraya. They are all lovely and make sure you feel at home. Not to mention, the food is amazing (especially the Chicken Rendang!) I did the 3 day 2 night trek with Putra and had such a fantastic time - he clearly knows a lot and cares for the jungle, it was such an awesome experience. I can’t wait to come back again 🙂 Terima kasih 🙏
