The room was excellent having all the required amenities and most of the facilities were quite modern. We loved the thermal pool and it allowed us to relax after a busy day out. The bed was very comfortable and we recommend this property highly!

I cannot begin to explain what a wonderful stay we had here. The place is in a privileged spot facing the beach and we were lucky enough to get one of the rooms facing the lake directly, which made us feel we had our own private beach. The owners are charming and very kind and we will never forget this place!

We had a fantastic stay...if I can give it 6 stars & more, I would! What made the place so special is the wonderful & warm hospitality of hosts Rob & Karen, they made us feel so welcome the moment we arrived. The Kiwi Suite (that we booked) was perfect in every way, fully equipped with all the necc amenities and had amazing views of Lake Taupo. Very quiet and super comfy beds. Breakfast simply yummy & prepared to perfection by Karen. A wonderful home that has so much character to it because of the exquisite collection of artwork & artifacts accumulated by Rob over the years. A must stay for anyone looking for THE perfect place.

The Lodge is absolutely lovely, incredibly comfortable beds, spacious rooms, wonderful ensuite wiht bath tub that has views, grounds are beautiful. the entire team is freindly, helpful and welcoming, nothing is too much trouble. It's an elegant and refined choice with a personal touch thats not found in large hotels. The breakfast was perfect, fresh, quality, beautifully cooked, stunningly presented and the coffee is also great. The location is lovely, quiet, relaxing and picture perfect.

The location was 10 minute drive from the centre of Taupo, breakfast was excellent. Angie and Garth were incredibly friendly giving us help with places to eat and all around the local area. Despite the cold weather in New Zealand for summer we had a fire in the lodge to keep us warm.

Ron at the front desk was full of information about the area. Very knowledgeable. Room was perfect. Great location, walking distance to the beach and town. Close enough to walk places but very quiet. Great for sleeping. There is also an excellent Thai restaurant right on the property as well. I will definitely stay there again on my next visit. Highly recommended.
