Stunning location overlook Franschoek with everything you need from a self-catering cottage for the family. Loved the equestrian themed decor and homely feel of the place. Wifi worked fine and pool is small but perfect for a cooling dip. We actually moved from another place down the road which was terrible so finding Courcheval was just what we needed. Would definitely stay again.

Amazingly different experience

Banhoek Lodge is situated along the scenic Helshoogte Pass, which offers an array of wine farms. The lodge boasts views of the vineyards and mountains.

The location is perfect, walking distance to the many wine estates around it along walking tracks. The staff are lovely and attentive, it’s a relaxed atmosphere and beautiful outlook down the valley. Breakfast is a great assortment with also a cooked selection if you want, the coffee machine is accessible anytime. The rooms are spacious, comfortable and the bathroom is luxurious. Banhoek Lodge recommended a local driver, Christo, who drove us around to places further than walking distance, he’s a gem! So quiet and serene, we could easily spend a week here!

Located on Helshoogte Pass between Stellenbosch and Franschhoek, Le Pommier Wine Estate is set amongst the vineyards overlooking the Banhoek Valley. It offers a restaurant.

Pearl Valley was beautiful, Jenna the manager was very good and in contact the whole time we stayed. 20 mins from Franshoek and 15 mins from Paarl.
