We had a wonderful experience staying at Casa de Mario. The location is perfect, right on the hiking trail to Gocta waterfall, with a beautiful view of the falls from the property. The village is quiet and peaceful, surrounded by nature. Mario is an exceptional host — he knows everything about the area and made us feel completely at home. He even made us a delicious homemade pizza with a purple corn crust — everything organic and full of flavor. We saw hummingbirds in the garden and many other beautiful birds around the property. It’s a great spot for bird lovers and nature lovers in general. If you’re coming to Cocachimba, don’t hesitate — Casa de Mario is the perfect place to stay!

Mamaq Tambo Lodge tiene vistas a la montaña y se encuentra en Cocachimba. Cuenta con restaurante, salón de uso común, bar, jardín, piscina al aire libre abierta todo el año y terraza. We loved everything in the lodge: the tastefully decorated and recently built Cabanas, with huge bathroom, super comfy beds and cute terrace with view on the Gocta cascade, set in a stunning well-kept garden. We could not use the natural water pool as we were in winter season, but it looked very inviting. The staff all from the local village is very friendly and they served one of the best breakfast in Perú.

El Gocta Andes Lodge se encuentra en Chachapoyas y cuenta con piscina al aire libre y restaurante. Este lodge sirve un desayuno buffet todas las mañanas y queda a solo 6 km de las cataratas de Gocta. La vista del lugar y cada espacio estaba muy bien pensado. Además existe una conciencia de conservación de biodiversidad de flora y fauna.

Utcubamba River Lodge tiene vistas al jardín y está en Nuevo Tingo. Cuenta con restaurante, cocina compartida, bar, jardín, piscina al aire libre abierta todo el año y terraza. The food was excellent. This hotel is close to the gondola that goes to Kuelap. Rooms were spacious and comfortable. Shower was nice and hot.
