Halls Gap has a lot to offer. Scenery, great trails around the town and in the wilderness. Great town with so many nice options for great coffee and food. One of Australia's best travel designations. Visitor centre helper left a bit to be desired - he wanted to us to go to Great Western or Horsham but couldn’t tell us much about Halls Gap or the walking trails. Parks Victoria need to provide better walking trail maps/brochures. The colour book is not suitable for walking/ hiking with or using in inclement weather. We had dinner at the Halls Gap Hotel Restaurant just on the out skirts of town which was good. Breakfast we had at the Grampians Restaurant Cafe Bar. The breakfast was amazing and the chef/owner was really nice to talk too and made us feel very welcome. The shops are doing it tough so it was good to show support and visit the shops. Halls Gap is a small town abutting the beautiful Grampians National Park. Halls Gap town has many facilities for a short stay. The main attraction of the town is its direct access to walking trails. There is a range of trails, and they cater to many fitness levels. Much has been done to improve accessibility and safety in the National Park in recent years. The unique rock formations that can be seen from the town and the myriad wildlife all around are a real drawcard. Having a car allows you to see more of the park, and I'd say, is a must. It's a place I have visited more than 10 times, and I'll keep coming back.Guest review byAnonymous

Big deck visited daily by cockatoos looking for breakfast (but do not feed them!) and mountain views. Comfy king bed. Fairly well-equipped kitchen. Access to laundry with washer and dryer on lower level. Short drive or longer walk to Halls Gap restaurants. Access code to lock box and instructions were clear.
