It was a very enjoyable stay! The owner was willing to accommodate us on short notice, which was really helpful. The place was clean, located in walking distance to everything. I had a late evening bus on the check-out day and the owner was flexible on my check-out time. Many thanks! Çox xoş bir qalma təcrübəsi oldu! The address of the hotel is on a main street, but - because the hotel is behind a row of houses along that street that works as a kind of sound barrier - you do not hear traffic noise in your room. In front of the hotel is a (small) parking lot. A warm welcome by the friendly owner who speaks good English. We slept on the first floor in room 202, a comfortable room with good (twin)beds. On the second floor is a restaurant where a breakfast buffet with a good choice was served. From the hotel, it is a walk of a few minutes to the modern centre. Although the receptionist told that it is a short walk to the old walled centre with the Khan palace, a next time we would take our car, because it is about 30 minutes walk.

Excellent hotel, centrally located in the old town area of Sheki, the hotel is located up a hill and the road is cobbles but we also found we could enter the hotel from street level by taking the lift which meant we did not have to walk up the hill which was useful. Rooms a little dated but have everything you need, the staff are very friendly and a nice pool, steam room, and sauna are available and included for guests as well as a a lovely breakfast buffet including hot and cold dishes. We travelled in April and the price paid was a bargain for what you got, the welcome note and plate of Sheki halva was a lovely touch, well done and thank you :)

Everything was soo great, we stayed longer as we planned. They got the kindest receptionist ever, he arranges everything for you. They have got a sweet cat in the garden and the cook makes the most delicious lentil soup of this area. What more could we ask for? It is very close to the bazar

Very friendly and helpful owner, generous with explanations and information, beautiful quadrangle with fountains and full of flowers - great location for breakfast. Washing machine. Very big comfortable room. The owner shares his interesting family history (his grandfather was a hero of the French resistance. Excellent WiFi.

If you dont need a location inside the old Sheki, this house is the best choice when it isn't only o room, it's a house with all you need. The room is very clear with enough facilities. The host will wellcome you with your heart and you can enjoy the best dinner, breakfast with the cheap money, i think it's very delicious and you can have the traditional food of Azerbajan in their beautiful garden with all organic food. We had a good time here, thanks with live and highlight recommended.

    I didn't love the main city area as much as the historical...

    I didn't love the main city area as much as the historical road leading up to the Sheki Palace. The people in Sheki and all of Azerbaijan were very nice. The two palaces were worth the visit. We did a day trip to Kish, as well as a Waterfall and Saint George's Church. I'd recommend everything. One thing I didn't like was all the trash. It seems like a lot of people just throw their trash when hiking. It was still beautiful. Lots of places to stop between Sheki and Baku.

    The Xan Saray Palace was incredile, showing the history of the place and the town in Persian-style paintings on the walls. We were positively surprised to find a small post office on the road towards the centre, selling both post cards and stamps (rare indeed in modern times).

    Sheki is a historic city in Azerbaijan and no trip without Sheki can be complete trip to Azerbaijan. With Palace of Sheki Khans with old city walls,Karavansaray and other historic places it takes takes you back in history. One can visit nearby towns to explore more about the areas. There is one winery also in Sheki called AZ ABRAU. It is very easy to move around within Sheki to various historical attractions on foot. Sheki is also famous for it's signature dish called PITI - a lamb stew which is made in a special way and also eaten in a special way to enjoy it fully. It is also easy and cheap to move around Sheki as one can book the taxi thru online company. Overall it is very good place. I highly recommend.

    Steeped in history Sheki is an important town in the ancient silk route. The Sheki Khan Palace, the ancient Karavancerai which is still existing are must visit. Nearby Kis & Kak villages too are very beautiful. Sheki’s local food Piti is a delicacy.

    A decent place from the busy city life, clean air, amazing...

    A decent place from the busy city life, clean air, amazing weather and lot of greenery and fresh feeling place. Sheki palace was also a good place to visit and so was Karavansarayi. Would definitely recommend a visit. We stayed at Marxal hotel which was just amazing for the budget and the amenities were really good.

    I was very sick while I stayed here and I was given a very quiet room at the back of the hotel to recover in Lovely courtyard with fountain to relax in Building is interesting and furnished with some gorgeous local furnishings. While I don't recommend being sick on holiday Can't think of a nicer place to be so
