    The view is superb!

    The view is superb! I have never seen anything like this in my life. The locals are kind and ready to help. Very safe to travel by family or alone. It's best to spend a week there and explore the region by renting a local electric scooter . But some point of interests are far apart and required to travel by boat so if you can't be bothered, make sure to have your local tour guide to help.

    Having a local guide Anna take us around really was special - she went far beyond and above and showed us all the special places. We loved that we could hire the electric bikes from the hotel to go and explore the beauty around

    Yangshuo is what people think of when they think of Guilin.

    Yangshuo is what people think of when they think of Guilin. It is set in beautiful surroundings, with karst hills, forests and rivers, is full of history and interest and is packed with lively bars and restaurants but has easy access to quieter, rural lanes and villages. Visitors love to dress up in local dress and photograph themselves so there's quite a party atmosphere. I loved it and wished I'd stayed longer than two nights.

    There is a lot to do in Yangshuo.

    There is a lot to do in Yangshuo. Very nice places to see and we can also enjoy some of them using a bike or scooter. Take a cruise on the Li river and enjoy a bamboo boat rafting (quite soft). At nigh don't miss the light show, an amazing event on water with more than 200 artists

    We stayed at Chaoyang village, it is close to Yulong River, which is the quieter side of Yangshuo (compartively). The karst landscape is beautiful and the manual bamboo rafting (not motorised like those at Li River) experience is highly recommended!

    A trip up and down the river (raft or boat) and walking...

    A trip up and down the river (raft or boat) and walking around West street are the highlights, we enjoyed the local park and the . The scenery is very beautiful, but marred by the traffic. We ate in the restaurant at the River-View hotel, very popular with locals and tourists alike. Don't imagine you can get to other towns easily by public transport, the bus station is well outside of town, hence the large numbers of e-scooters in use. The "Yangshuo" train station is actually 34km/21 miles away from Yangshuo, at Xinping, you need to book train tickets a few days in advance, they often sell out. Be aware of the Great Fire-wall of China; all google apps and many more don't work. Most people (and our hotel) used WeChat (instead of WhatsApp), AliPay, and DiDi for taxis- download the apps before you get to China and bring a local sim with you.

The staff went above and beyond, crafting detailed travel plans that made exploring a breeze. To top it off, the local cuisine served here was delicious, truly capturing the flavors of the region.     The staff is amazing, friendly and extremely helpful. The hotel is beautiful, the beds confortable and rooms have both A/C and ceiling fan. Many food options available, and two bottles of water every day in the room. Bike included too! Note that the hotel is not in Yangshuo West Street with means a bit more Didi/private car expenses, especially since this is a mountain area. However I came to Yangshuo for the nature so I was happy with this choice not to be in the city!

    Though slightly outside Yangshuo downtown, we could not have been more happy with this property's location. Downtown is very busy and noisy, this property feels as though it's in a village on the outskirts. It is so quiet and calm. The staff were so incredibly kind to us, Emily spoke amazing English which was a huge bonus. The whole family-run feel really sets this place apart from other stays in China.

    The staff was so helpful and arranging! They kindly recommended restaurants and sightseeing places around the hotel, and helped us when we had mixed up our booking dates. The room had a nice view and was beautifully decorated. I highly recommend the Chinese breakfast, which was the best we had in a hotel in China.
