Charming two level cabin in a remote location, but convenient for an early morning visit to Poás Volcano. We were just 2 people but the cabin has sleeping for at least 10 people as well as a kitchen with hob, fridge freezer and wood fireplace, plus WiFi. The views are spectacular! Lots of blankets which came in handy as this was the coldest area we stayed in CR! Host was lovely and was waiting for us to guide us on where to park as waze was going to take us further down the track! Make sure you let her know your arrival time.

We were very happy to stay at this lovely small hotel with a beautiful garden and friendly hosts 🌸 The spacious, well-kept garden is wonderful, with funny rabbits freely hopping around🥰 Everything is very clean, and the breakfast and dinner were delicious. This hotel is a heaven on earth. I would definitely recommend it if you are in the area. The rooms are spacious and quite. Breakfast was great but you should also try their dinner menu - everything we tried was delicious. There are many areas in the property where you can enjoy the views and nature. Try their own walking trails on the property!

    We stayed at the Altura Hotel. It was amazing beyond words! Can not say enough about this place. We stayed in a 'dome/yurt' and it was beautiful, well appointed and excellent in every sense of the word. Breakfast was included and it was such a treat!

    This was a beautiful property.

    This was a beautiful property. We enjoyed the foliage and flowers and all the little sitting areas. The room was very comfortable and had all of the amenities we required. The only thing that could be improved upon is to have a breakfast selection. It was the same thing every morning.

    Hotel La Paz is a magical place. Everything was absolutely perfect and I can only regret that we stayed only 1 night there. Our room was georgeous with very comfortable beds and beautiful wooden walls that make a truly natural atmosphere. The owner and his team work very hard to be sure that every guest is very welcome. They are very helpful, friendly and I very appreciate their hospitality and services. We would love to stay there next time.

    The Altura Hotel exceeded all expectations! It is absolutely stunning! The property and the view is incredible. The rooms and suites are gorgeous. It is a very short drive to the national park to see Volcán Poás. Breakfast was delicious and there was a daily cleaning service. It was an incredible stay!

    We were headed to Poas volcano, which is about a 15 minutes ride from the hotel. It's cold in the mountains, but we had heating in the room so it was comfy. We had a great a'la carte breakfast for a good price. There are hummingbird feeding stations all around the place and we saw a few from close.
