Rivas is a great location to base yourself.
Rivas is a great location to base yourself. It's easily reachable from San Jose via good quality roads. Rivas has a great selection of national parks to visit, plenty of local restaurants and other attractions to visit and keep you busy. Additionally, it is close enough to the East coast to be a great base for day trips. We travelled to both Dominical and Uvita in under two hours.
