Visitors are immediately immersed into the daily activities...
Visitors are immediately immersed into the daily activities of the local people and their animals. One will hears 'tud fixe?' all the time and from all the people around you. With a smile and a thumbs-up. You need to reply "tud fixe!", smile back and show your thumb. And life is easy. No nonsense of the outside world. Best fruit: papaya. Best fish: lobo (?) or locally caught. Ask Zeza for octopus. You will get delicious catchupa sooner than later for your breakfast. Zeza is a most welcoming host you can ever imagine. The same applies to the rest of her family and friends who help at Dunas. Ricardo is most helpful when it comes to all the outside activities or needs. Ask for a tour around the island or fishing from the local boat. Enjoy the local beach. Black sand. No people. Probably because of covid.
