Lovely old town on the Bodensee and Rhine.

Lovely old town on the Bodensee and Rhine. Beautiful walks along the River and Bodensee, very chilled, relaxed vibe along the river and around the lake. Make sure you go to Mainau Inselblumen, like Kew Gardens on steroids, but on an island.

It was really a trip I will remember, I found the people wonderful and helpful. There is also so much to do and see, and if you are English like myself - I did not once struggle with communication. We travelled with an EV car and the infrastructure is great - not one hiccup.

Konstanz – a place that makes you want to stay longer

Konstanz – a place that makes you want to stay longer This charming town won me over with its unique blend of German order, Swiss proximity, and an almost Italian sense of ease by Lake Constance. A peaceful lakeside gem with charm and character Staying at Hotel constantia was a lovely experience – it’s a cozy, well-located place with easy access to everything. One of my favorite moments was an evening walk by the lake – the promenade is a must-see, especially the iconic gates opening into the lake right by the yacht bay. It’s such a romantic and peaceful spot, perfect for couples. Getting around Konstanz was easy and relaxing – the town is walkable, and everything feels close, whether it’s the historic old town, the lake, or little cafés tucked into charming streets. We had dinner near the water, enjoying local flavors with a view. Konstanz is ideal for young couples looking for a slow, meaningful experience – strolls, sunsets, and stories at every corner.

A beautiful old villa, great location directly at the lake. Nice 10 Minutes walk to that old town along the lake. Wonderful old wooden floors! Unfortunately we had bad weather but on a sunny day having coffee in the garden must be nice. Very friendly and attentive staff, not only at our stay but also before arrival!

I liked the location, right by the Bahnhof and close to both Altstadt and the harbour. We got room 412, which had a massive balcony and views of Bodensee. The hotel had extremely friendly staff, lovely and HUGE room albeit it lacked a Chromecast.
