This time it was quiet, peaceful and a joy to be able to relax and take if the stunning views of the surrounding mountains. A quaint little town with an artist's flair.
A quaint little town with an artist's flair. The Passiontheater is definitely worth a visit, the walk down through the streets visiting artisans and shops is such a treat. Don't miss St. Peter and Paul church. We had planned to visit the Alpine coaster but spent too much time just walking around the town. We even stopped, out of curiosity, to eat at a Mexican restaurant. It was pretty good! If you're looking for the quintessential Bavarian mountain village to spend a week or two (or even a few days), Oberammergau is your place. The village has a unique history and so picturesque.
