The buildings and the city is beautiful.
The buildings and the city is beautiful. Go to La Compañia, San Francisco Church and the Museum, Virgen del Panecillo, Telesferiqo and visit Guayasamin Museum. The food is good but not surprising. The conditions in the downtown are difficult. Too much poverty and it is dirty. To be honest, a day and a half is more than enough. Needed google translate at times as my Spanish is not that great and not all of the staff spoke English. But we had no problems at all. Breakfast was great and they were quite flexible with our timings. The art work and decor in the hotel was really wonderful and Ecuadorian. We left bags here while we traveled out of Quito and there was no problems with securing them again. Yes I would recommend this hotel. The rooms are comfortable, spacious and more importantly: very quiet. The garden has hammocks, chairs and even a gym. It’s a small oasis in between all the chaos of Quito. But the staff stands out the most. They are incredibly friendly and helpful. And for only three dollars they offer a quite substantial breakfast.
