This is an absolute gem of a place to stay. It is so peaceful in a great location. The barn is immaculate lots of care and attention is given to it and it is spotless. We could not of asked for a better place to stay. Nothing is too much trouble for the owner, she goes above and beyond to make your stay enjoyable. We highly recommend this place and have already booked to come back next year and cannot wait. Thank you so much for our wonderful stay.

The disabled room was very large and comfortable, it had everything I needed as a disabled person. The restaurant was just next door to the room block and served very good food and a good selection from the bar., the staff as well were friendly and helpful even though at times were rushed of their feet.

our stay at Rooms at Uphill was excellent. The staff were friendly, always helpful and smiling. Breakfast was very good and severed hot no issues. We booked a table for the evening meal and found the restaurant clean and good ambiance. the food was exceptional and severed in a professional manner. my wife complimented some of the dishes as some of the best we have had and i agreed. Rooms is just a few minutes walk to the beach and also there is the church on the hill for more energetic walkers, but not after the meal. i would say a very well done and would recommend Rooms at Uphill to everybody.

Nice little room, lovely clean bathroom, enough towels to use even though we had to bring it to Nick's attention that house keeping didn't change the towels they just hung the dirty and wet towels back up. We had enough tea and coffee making facilities, we had a fan in the bedroom but felt that 2 might of been better, the hotel doesn't serve food but we knew that before booking but there's loads of cafes and pubs very local. All in all a very nice hotel and we would stop again.

The whole package! We loved everything. We travelled from Australia and met my sister in London. We travelled to see our homes we lived in, in Manchester.and then to the Lake District. On to Dover then with the purpose of bringing our Mother ‘ home ‘. We scattered her ashes at the White Cliffs of Dover. We think Dunstan House was one of the best places we stayed in.

The location was excellent, the only problem, no parking, it was not easy to stop double yellow lines, and take all our luggage out, we then had to move the car to the beach front a 5 minute walk in the cold rain.

A good hotel as a pit stop when travelling through.

A good hotel as a pit stop when travelling through. The hotel has recently been redecorated so is clean and fresh. The staff were really welcoming and friendly and the food was great (we had an evening meal and breakfast).

I was there for a very specific reason; to follow up some...

I was there for a very specific reason; to follow up some family history research as my ancestors lived in East Brent. The village and surrounding villages are charming and very close to the entirely different atmosphere of Weston Super Mare. There is a pub in East Brent with huge and reasonably priced meals, obviously a favourite with the locals. There is a pub in Brent Knoll too but this was closed temporarily due to Covid. Apart from some houses and some interesting churches and of course the knoll itself (a huge hill you can climb if you've the energy) there is nothing much else in the villages for tourists. However you are in very easy reach of the M5, Weston Super Mare and other coastal resorts as well as Bristol, Wells, Cheddar and other attractions you might want to visit if you were on holiday. If you are just looking for overnight accommodation when you're on a long trip, the village is really close to the motorway and A38.

I booked it for May 5.

I booked it for May 5. I turned up early evening to check in, but the hotel was locked up and there was no answer when I knocked on the doors. I had to find alternative accommodation (and was ortunate to find the last room in a nearby chain hotel). I was charged by Bookings/Hotel and refused a refund. Terrible service from Bookings and/or the hotel. I'm now boycotting the hotel and bookings.com. A disgrace that I was booked and the hotel was effectively closed, and absolute disgrace that I had to pay for it. ,

We loved the location, very easy to get to most places in mid/north Somerset. It was also very quiet and relaxing. The Barn was clean and surprisingly spacious. It was perfect for a couple to unwind in. Hosts were friendly and welcoming. Despite the barn being pretty much on their drive we never felt crowded or imposed upon.

Very convenient for the motorway.Nice rooms.Excellent reception and staff all very nice.Room very comfortable and well equipped. There are meals available in the adjoining pub and breakfast is served from just after 7. If you are traveling up or down the M5 this is a much better bet than the usual motorway travel hotels.

Perfect for two people, everything you need for a comfortable stay in peace and quiet. We didn't have time but there is a walk up to Brent Knoll from the door and it is very well located for exploring the area.
