Location was perfect- right by the high street. Staff were super accommodating, they even gave us some extra condiments to go with our late night chippy order. Really generous and friendly. Breakfast was lovely

The Brickwall Hotel is a very nice hotel with an excellent restaurant. Above all, we would like to thank the friendly concierge Rasha. No effort was too much for her. She also gave us a great list of recommendations of National trust buildings. We visited them all. Yes, Petworth castle is the best.

It is a beautiful place to stay, very clean, calming and homely. Hilary has excellent communication and was very welcoming. The decking outside with the view across the garden and countryside is fantastic. The bed is comfortable and the shower is good. It has everything you need for a lovely stay.

    This is a tiny village/hamlet set in stunning countryside.

    This is a tiny village/hamlet set in stunning countryside. There is a lovely old church and a historic walk which takes in 7 follies built by a previous owner of Brightling Park, Mad Jack Fuller, as well as Bodiam castle, which he saved from demolition. Ideally placed for visiting the historic town of Battle.

    We stayed at the White Hart for three nights in a large...

    We stayed at the White Hart for three nights in a large comfortable room with an amazing view across the countryside. It is a shame that the White Hart does not offer breakfast but the breakfast provided by the village post office/shop/cafe was excellent. Our only criticisms of the room is that it needs a soap dish in the shower and it was not serviced every day, only between stays which is a pity given the cost of the room. The staff were friendly and obliging and the food was good so no complaints there. Recommended for a short break.
