Very disappointing experience would not return and was no way value for money. The 3 nights we stayed cost over £900 which only included breakfast. The restaurant was overpriced. The garden table and chairs was also very nice to use in the evening. The location was perfect with a bus stop right outside to get you to Bakewell and back. There is a pub a very short walk away as well as a hotel restaurant right opposite. The cottage is nicely decorated and the kitchen had a big oven, a dishwasher and there was a separate utility room. You wake up to birdsong and walk outside to these painterly hills and little lambs hopping around in the fields. The hosts Lisa and Paul are incredibly friendly. They have excellent tips for local activities and showed us around the farm. The accommodation itself faces the hills and provides fantastic sunset views. Friendly, polite and efficient in their duties. The food in the restaurant was delicious (amendments to the menu choices were graciously accommodated). This was also the case with breakfast.
