Lovely little village just outside Leicester.

We were there for a funeral.
We were there for a funeral. We stayed at the Pug and Greyhound and could walk to the crematorium, and both my friends' houses. The Cafe we used for breakfast - Lou Lou's was excellent. We asked to stay another night but hotel fully booked.
We asked to stay another night but hotel fully booked. But kind Amy found a nearby B&B for a similar price and booked it for us. Fantastic. It was easy to get around Great Glen with the Co-op 5 minutes walk away. The location of the accomodation in the village was great, walkable to the other pub/restaurant. Due to unforseen circumstances the pub itself, The Pug and Greyhound was closed and we were warned about this prior to our stay., with the option to cancel if we wished. We eat at The Yews in the village which was good value for money with excellent staff. The garden area of the pub was great for outdoor dining, pity they had to close. Away from the hustle and bustle of loads of people, as it’s in the village of Great Glen. I stayed in a room outside, in an old outbuilding. The room was very stylish, with vintage features. Spotlessly clean. A large screTV, which you hardly ever get, so I was chuffed. And it even had a small fridge, which was a smeg! It was close enough to Leicster for a visit to Richard III museum and grave site. The room was large and comfortable. The staff in the pub cheerfully took us to the room, which is next door.
