Guisborough was a prime location and home base to visit the Moors, Dales, Whitby, York, Staithes. Saltburn by the Sea, etc. The people were very friendly and the town had lovely tea rooms and cafes . Lovely little place with plenty of shops, cafe, restaurants and bars. Guisborough priory is free and well worth a look around we enjoyed reading the history of the place. We went into a pub over the road from the priory called the monk, they had a glass floor where the monks used the tunnel to sneak out of the priory. Lovely coffee shop koslieng with great pastries and coffee. Proximity to Guisborough Woods and the Cleveland Way is excellent for walkers. The refurbishment of this property is excellent. There has been a lot of investment by the owner. Wood burner in the back room was lovely! The large back garden was the reason we chose the property as we have a dog. Everything is new. Proximity to 2 local bakery, cafes and pubs is 5 mins walk.
