    Holt is the best town to stay in when on holiday in north Norfolk It has everything a town should have shops restaurants takeaways tearooms a supermarket bakeries It’s small easy to walk around It is touristy but that means it has some nice luxury shops If you like Chinese food the takeaway was the best I’ve ever eaten

    Excellent range of independent shops and eateries.

    Excellent range of independent shops and eateries. Well placed for visits to all local attractions both inland and on the coast. A go-to shop is definitely Bakers and Larners who sell anything from a range cooker to a packet of seeds. We sampled delicious eggs benedict and coffee in the cafe. There are many boutiques to suit all pockets, a bookshop and bakers. Although we didn’t visit, the two pubs had good menus posted outside.

    Lovely country market town with high quality shops and easy to walk around. Not too many restaurants in town but plenty in the surrounding countryside. Easy and quick access to the North Norfolk coast by car.

    Holt is a well-situated base for exploring the coast, with easy access to Cromer, Sheringham, Wells, and Blakeney—perfect for those looking to make the most of their stay. This charming town has everything you need for a comfortable visit if you prefer to stay local. For evening dining, the best options can be found in nearby pubs, as choices within the town itself are somewhat limited. Lots of lovely cafes and tea rooms and some nice independents and antique shops.

    Communication with host excellent and fast.

    Communication with host excellent and fast. Full explanation of parking and check in. The place was easy to find and was so clean, modern and just thought through by whoever decorated it and had everything we needed. An absolute gem !

    Holt is a lovely place to explore for a couple of days.

    Holt is a lovely place to explore for a couple of days. There are plenty of independent shops to browse and it has quite an artisan feel. It also has plently of places to eat and drink. We went to the Feathers pub for dinner one night, which was good. We also had fish and chips from one of the many fish and chip shops, which was excellent!

    We loved the look of both the hotel and our room. The staff were very friendly and on arrival everything was explained to us very clearly. It was a great to see how spacious the room and bathroom were and a surprise to see the kitchen. We were planning return trips. We enjoyed our evening meal, good choice on the menu but the bar area was very cold. The bed and pillows were comfortable.

    PLEASE NOTE:- Our stay was at the Kings Head, LETHERINGSETT, near Holt, not in the town of Holt itself. The property is lovely, set back from the busy road and sheltered by trees (and a herd of docile cows!) The room was very stylish and decorated to a high standard. Food was good, with a decent full English breakfast (but no smoked salmon available till the last day....)

    We really enjoyed our stay in your windmill. We have been visiting North Norfolk for over 30 years and Cley has always held a unique charm. This was our first stay at Cley windmill. Building was facinating, with views across the reed beds and the village. The Norfolk coastline is so beautiful. Lovely walk to Blakeney and back.
