I really enjoyed my stay. The food was good, and all the staff were wonderful, communicating kindly both in person and through messages. The hotel was peaceful despite its location on a busy street near Primark. I also appreciated the warm welcome with a complimentary drink.

Loved this funky, trendy historic refurbished property … so much character in this comfy suite, ‘ticked all the boxes’ for our three night stay. Reception staff Lucy was so welcoming & hospitable. Well equipped kitchenette/top line appliances etc (no oven just microwave). Powerful shower, comfy beds, etc. Great location for proximity to Coach/train stations & central areas, etc

Manchester has fallen victim to the plague of destruction that is sweeping through the UK currently under a Government that seems unwilling to stop the rot. I've been coming to the UK every year since 2003 and it's so sad to see this once beautiful and proud nation converted into Europes toilet. The only people that would disagree with that statement are the people who are destroying it. Britain and the UK , only exist as a memory on a distant page of a history book somewhere on a dusty shelf of a Library that nobody wants to know about.

Manchester is a good city due to its vibrant culture, rich history, and dynamic nightlife, combined with a more affordable cost of living compared to London. It's also a hub for sports, particularly football, and has a strong creative and media industry, along with a diverse and friendly community. Arts: The city offers world-class museums, art galleries, and theaters, including the Manchester Art Gallery and the Royal Exchange Theatre. Nightlife: Manchester has a buzzing nightlife with options for every taste, from traditional clubs to the hipster bars and restaurants of the Northern Quarter. Festivals: The city hosts a packed calendar of events and festivals, such as the Manchester International Festival and the Manchester Christmas Markets. History and heritage Industrial past: As a key city in the Industrial Revolution, Manchester has a rich history reflected in its architecture and heritage sites like the Museum of Science and Industry. Progressive spirit: The city's history also includes significant events in the fight for democracy, like the Peterloo Massacre, and its role in queer history. Modern reinvention: It has successfully reinvented itself from its industrial past into a modern and trendsetting city.

As someone who lived in Manchester for many years, it's a great city for music and entertainment, but the city centre is quite rough these days, especially Piccadilly Gardens and the main street next to it. Avoid those areas at all costs, particularly at night, as you will see 100% anti-social behaviour and worse.

Manchester city centre seemed clean and visitor friendly, plenty of street signs pointing to local attractions and a very good transport system. A bustling city with an amazing grouping of buildings young and old. We were visiting Bridgewater Hall (a truly fantastic concert venue) and found the Leonardo Hotel (opposite) to be an excellent choice. Plus, both were within easy walking distance from a main line railway system.

Fabulous surprise to find such a comprehensive array of things to help make a stay comfortable in the room. The design and styling were also first rate and for the first time in a UK City centre hotel managed to get a goo night's sleep with the very comfortable bed and pillows and air condition that worked quietly. Just goes to prove that a UK offer can be just as good as the best on the continent. Location of course being so central perfect. Well done, we will be back!

The hotel was in an excellent location - easy to get to most of the city centre and close to the railway station if you need it. We went for a graduation at the University of Manchester and it was within easy walking distance. The staff were excellent and very helpful, both with when I needed to extend just one room and in swapping the TV channel in the bar so we could watch the football!
