Woolaston is a small village set in magnificent surroundings...
Woolaston is a small village set in magnificent surroundings. We stayed at Edge Barn, a mile or two across the fields from Woolaston. Had an excellent meal in the local pub, the Rising Sun. Apart from access from teh A48, all the roads leading to Woolaston are narrow contry roads with hedgerows on either side passing through forest or farmland. Loevely walking country with plenty of public foot paths. You need a car to make the most of your visit. We drove to Tintern Abbey and to the forest of Dean, both of which are well worth seeing.Guest review byPeterSouth Africa
