Some of Yeovil is attractive (church area) but the rest is fairly run down. Very noisy nightclub near where we were on Saturday night until 4am…… Tambourino very nice Italian good. Very popular so Definately book. The Ilchester Arms in Ilchester very nice Sunday lunch. Swallow field is in a rural area quite nr Yeovil Not in Yeovil .. booking . Com has not placed the the venue in the correct geographical place . This gives an incorrect impression The actual site is wonderful miles of unspoilt countryside , farms and rural walks , brilliant for a place to bring dogs . There is a really excellent country park just next to the town. The town is quite small so easy to walk around. The station (Yeovil Junction) has a lovely coffee shop with home made sandwiches. Transport from the station is poor after the last bus and don't try walking into the town as the road is very narrow with no footpaths and no verges.Guest review byWendyUnited Kingdom

All the staff were very friendly and helpful. We ate in the hotel both days and would recommend the restaurant, for both the size of the servings and the quality of the food - we noticed that both nights the restaurant was popular with many locals as well as the hotel guests even though it was out of the usual holiday season (always a good sign).
