Maria and her mom are the warmest, friendliest most helpful hosts! We were greeted with a welcome basket full of goodies, bottles of COLD water and 2 small bottles of wine. She was happy to share loads of information Free private parking (gated villa) The Villa grounds are well maintained. Up on a hill with a gorgeous view of the mountains and so Peaceful. Rooms are modern and updated with full amenities (stove, fridge, cutlery, nespresso coffee maker and pods). Free softdrinks in the garden (replenished daily) Spa like amenities - slippers, robes, great quality linens Location- 10 mins walk downhill/stairs to Chora, close to all restaurants and shops, 2 supermarkets 2 mins walking distance away. less than 10 min drive to ferry port. This is my second time in Greece and my first time to Sifnos , I’ve been to a few Greek islands on my last trip, but I have to say this one seems pretty special, that the Villa was everything the listing mentioned and more. The views were spectacular and the accommodations were great especially the bathrooms.. The pictures don’t do the house justice. It’s a 15 minute ride from the port to the house which seems to be brand new. The open kitchen which is fully equipped which came in handy since most restaurants were still closed due to the season . It was a short trip and we are considering returning Sifnos in the late summer where we can spend more time exploring the island. We would definitely like to book the same villa it was very nice.

We loved our stay here! The hosts were so welcoming and lovely and the location is quiet and beautiful and near a very nice restaurant. The walk to Apollonia/ the nearest bus stop is about 10 or so minutes with a bit of incline but not too bad at all, and from there you can travel by bus to most of the beaches or could walk/bus to Artemonas. In the other direction, Kastro was about a 15 minute walk with some hills but absolutely worth it. We loved our stay and would definitely come back!

Appolonia is a good base to explore the island. You can take a bus to all the major beaches/towns from here. Appolonia itself is a sweet town with lovely, welcoming people. There are also a number of really nice shops along the main walking street and restaurants. Finally, if you plan to hike around the trails of Sifnos Appolonia is the perfect place to start from.

Apollonia is a lovely town, and a really great base for exploring the island. The views are beautiful, there are great places to eat and drink, as well as shops selling local goods. It’s very close to a village which is full of ceramics workshops, and we loved visiting and meeting some of the potters and buying directly from them. The town is a short drive from pretty much every other place on the island. It has lovely views and is quiet and safe. It was my first time visiting and I’ll definitely return in future, Sifnos is my favourite Greek island that I’ve visited so far.

Having visited many Greek islands and the Cyclades in particular I can say that Sifnos is a delight!! The village of Apollonia is typical picture perfect with traditionally winding streets with blue and white buildings and a church at every turn. Lots of boutiques with local wares and lots of amazing restaurants. There are good bus routes from Apollonia to other villages on the island and at just €2 a journey why hire a car. Perfect for the real Greek experience.

The nightlife of Sifnos is concentrated in Apollonia. Here the famous alley the "steno" (narrow street) is home to commercial shops, restaurants, bars and clubs which are open until late at night!

They have many trails and we will be back, because we underestimated the many trails and the length of trails offered. You are in for an adventure. The hotel is well located being only a short walk from the port and the beach. The bus stop to the village is across the road. We had a nice room with a large terrace overlooking the bay. However, the shower was small and we did not have hot water. The welcome was good but breakfast did not vary. Not everyone wants toasted cheese sandwiches and hard boiled eggs for breakfast every time. A choice of omelette or other eggs would have been appreciated.

The studio was spacious, clean and well equipped with a gorgeous view from the terrace. The family were very kind with a beautiful breakfast tray delivered to our room each morning. We were met at the nearby bus-stop on arrival and helped with our bags. Kostas also gave us a lift to Kamares on our departure which was much appreciated. Excellent stay in Apollonia.

We loved the room, the amenities, the location and the warm welcome and check-out (with tasty almond cookies from the bakery associated with the hotel). The apartment was 25 metres from a wonderful wine and cocktail bar and all the little shops and tavernas that make Apollonia such a special place.
