Loved the historical sites nearby and driving up into the mountain villages. There were excellent beaches nearby and we caught the public bus's to them, which were frequent and easy to use. Great food and lots of excellent restaurants within walking distance, explore the inner laneways. We hired a small car and managed well with the mountain roads but dont attempt if not confident, as many areas are narrow essentially single track with passing places and you do have to negotiate with a fair few coaches, in places.Guest review byMikeAustralia - 10.0

Naxos Chora is a wonderful place to visit for a short while.
Naxos Chora is a wonderful place to visit for a short while. The older/medieval part is a labirinth of alleys, well worth wandering around and discovering art galleries and shops hidden away. The front is full of taverners catering for all tastes, but it can get very busy. Alternatively you can walk away from the front to have a calmer meal in one of the excellent family taverners. St Georges beach is nearby, a nice sandy bay, with a long slope out into the sea. There is easy access to the ferry terminals, but a taxi will be required to get to and from the airport.Guest review byIanUnited Kingdom - 10.0
A wonderful place with so much to see.
A wonderful place with so much to see. A peaceful place full of history. Portara is beautiful both day and night, and even more so at sunset. With a few tours, you can reach Delos, a wonderful island full of history! Near the port of Naxos there are very nice restaurants and pubs for all tastes. The market streets with all the shops are also very suggestive. Tours of the island are also highly recommended.Guest review byLara - 10.0
Picturesque and huge old town.
Picturesque and huge old town. You can really get lost in its maze of alleys and just explore it. Amazingly clean. The locals are super friendly, welcoming and helpful. The room was quite spacious and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was very good and the pool area nice on a hot day. The hotel was spotlessly clean everywhere. The hotel is run by a family and they were nice, helpful and efficient. The yiayia said goodbye and thank you to us as we were leaving. The area is quiet and peaceful away from traffic noise.
