Georgia from the Front Office Manager went way above and beyond to arrange a private Mama Mia tour when the boat tours wouldn’t go to the church due to wind. She is incredible and kind. The entire staff was friendly and accommodating. Hotel is extremely clean and has a beautiful beach and it is very walkable to the town. You cannot go wrong with this hotel. Great value!

My friend and I loved our stay here, the staff are all lovely , and the exceptional manager Eva was very accommodating to our requests . The hotel is quiet ,we really enjoyed the Greek night ,the dancing was fun.The pool area is so relaxing and the Sunbeds are very comfortable .The breakfast was great so much choice including cooked items in the buffet. We were sad our stay was only 4 nights would love to return for a longer stay .

We loved our stay at Hotel Mato, our host Fofi was exceptionally kind, between her lovingly prepared breakfasts, housekeeping, and occasional greek lesson. The views from our room were something out of a movie and the hotel itself is in a prime location to explore and enjoy Skiathos town. Perfect place for one to have a wonderful stay coupled with an authentic Greek experience!

A pretty town, plenty of shops, restaurants and cafes, but all in an attractive setting of tree-lined cobbled streets and scenic port area. We would recommend Nikos taverna in the pedestrian street for excellent grilled food and efficient service-it’s always packed and there’s good reason for that- also the fish taverna on the port., which also serves meat dishes and traditional Greek cuisine. Very reasonable prices, good food and lovely staff. For breakfast, coffee and a nice little place to people-watch, we loved the Foodie cafe in the pedestrian street. Friendly staff and good service.

Better than we expected......various areas to visit, a busy promenade with many shops and restaurants, the port area with some lovely tavernas overlooking the sea, we liked the local beach Megali Ammos which was walkable from our hotel and had 3/4 lovely restaurants...our favourite was the Thessaloniki. Great bus service every 10 mins. Not too many families so ideal for couples or singles. Plenty of boat trip options, etc.

We liked Skiathos Garden theatre, Alexandros Papadiamantis...

We liked Skiathos Garden theatre, Alexandros Papadiamantis museum, gift shops and coffee shops, the Bourtzi peninsula and Maritime museum. Our favourite restaurants were: Asprolithos, Dinos, Manavaki, Pikantiko, O Batis, Phaos. It's very easy to walk around Skiathos Town. There are boat trips to various beaches and Skopelos Mamma Mia tour. There's a Greek dance workshop at Skiathos Garden Theatre on Tuesdays and Fridays.

Skiathos Town has something for everyone - there are lots of good quality bars and restaurants and boat / ferry trips going to anywhere you want to go - all cheaper than the UK. Skopelos is an excellent day trip or long stay option.

Skiathos is was one of the most beautiful places I have visited. We have already looked at going again next year. The island is easy to get around, there are an abundance of restaurant's and bars. The bus's are so easy and cheap to use, so getting to the beaches and around is so easy. Hiring a quad is a must.

Vibrant town full of bars and restaurants in tight , usually traffic free streets. Most of the traffic is mopeds, as many of the streets have steps from when it used to be donkey traffic. Food is not cheap, probably slightly dearer than the Uk, but there are some excellent restaurants that are only a touch dearer than the not so good. You just have to find them! Hire car is not required, as there is an excellent bus service, right from the airport. Max 3€ per trip The town is on a hill going up from the port, so expect to do some walking up steps if you want to see all of the town. No loud music that we came across which was good. Don’t be deterred by the Mamma Mia tours!😆

Wonderful family run hotel. Highly recommend. Exceeded our expectations. Big rooms, comfy beds, beautiful pool, amazing view and very clean. All staff so helpful and friendly. Lovely pool side bar. 8 min walk to centre of beautiful Skiathos town via path above bus stop 4 or less than 5 min down to megali ammos beach. Easy bus trip to all other beaches. We travelled as group of 8 (two families with young adults) and we really want to return.

The studios are in the very centre of Skiathos town close to everything - shops, taverns and bus to the beaches. The studio was cleaned every day though we stayed for 3 nights only. The cleaning lady is very kind. They allowed us to leave bags early in the morning, change clothes into swimming suits so we can enjoy our day by the beach and came back to check-in in the evening.

Great views over skiathos town (and the airport!) Small but nice pool & sun beds. Due to it being on a hill a taxi was a must coming back from town however this was expected and part of having a hotel with a pool and a view! The walk down to town is doable on foot but steep at times, it took about 15-20 mins to get to the port (most of the way doesn’t have a pavement).

Great location, modern hotel with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Esmeralda at reception was so helpful and gave us many recommendations for the best beaches and restaurants in Skiathos and even recommendations for our onward journey to Skopelos. Nothing was too much trouble. 5 star customer service. Highly recommend.
