Clifden is a small but mighty town in west of Ireland.
Clifden is a small but mighty town in west of Ireland. Some great pubs with fantastic live music in the evenings and nighttime. Must mention Ravis and Lowrys in particular. Loved the area, views, beaches especially when portable toilets nearby. One beach had sinking sand so unable to walk along the edge due to a shoulder injury. A bit disappointed with the food options. We have a daughter who is gluten, dairy and nut free. Salads were offered and steak, which is expensive. Very upsetting 😡 Overall staff did try their best. Keogh pub was able to provide chips, burger and bacon and cabbage 😋 very bad network in areas. Shops were good. Supervalu had the gf, df options in clifden. It's location (just off the main road) means you have easy access to the Westport - Galway Road, as well as to the town, without all the traffic noise. The food was amazing, fabulous breakfast would set you right for the day. We ate both nights in Marconi's what can I say about the menu... we were spoilt for choice.
