Glencolumbkille and Donegall was was marvellous.
Glencolumbkille and Donegall was was marvellous. BUT the B&B was really cold , damp and the bathroom not clean. The heating was not turned on in spite of 12 degrees. The landlord was South African and had none of the skills and welcoming attitudes of the Irish.Guest review byEmerUnited Kingdom - 10

Glen is a quiet place but has many interesting places, the beaches are really lovely, golden sand, clear water and quiet, there are also great walks all around. The folk village is well worth a visit (the café there serves lovely food) the pubs are friendly and the café on the main street serves nice food. There are a range of activities available here, walking, hiking, watersports and climbing which is what we were doing. There are several loop and direct walks in the vicinity along with a number of unusual places to visit including a neolithic site and a monument to a shipwreck (near An Port). There are a number of climbing opportunities in the area including bouldering, trad climbing and sea stack climbing. Choose a good guide and professional advice if you don't have experience as some locations can be dangerous if not approached with care.Guest review byJohnIreland
