This is a good hotel with all necessary facilities. I spent only one night there and was not able to evaluate the breakfast, but all other things were ok. The location is bout ten minutes from the central streets (Market etc). When I came, they allowed me to choose one of the two rooms. The first was on the ground floor and had a view on high mountains, but I chose the second, with a balcony and without such a view. I left the hotel very early in the morning - and there were no problems with that (even though the person responsible for that had to wake up). The territory of the hotel is flowery, clean and green and has several chairs where one can have a rest.

Perfect location near town centre, restaurants and shops. Room was fantastic, staff were so helpful, friendly and accommodating. Bed was super comfy and amenities were excellent. Food was really good particularly the breakfast. Great views of snow laden mountains from the room. Highly recommend this hotel.

While the hotel itself is a beautiful property with comfortable rooms and a great location, what truly sets it apart is the exceptional service, led by the incredible Antony and his entire team. The level of professionalism, warmth, and genuine care we received was unlike anything I have ever experienced. Antony is a true hospitality maestro. He was always available, proactive, and went above and beyond to ensure our every need was met. His attention to detail is remarkable. He remembered our preferences, offered thoughtful suggestions for local attractions and dining, and handled every request with a smile and incredible efficiency. It’s clear that Antony's leadership inspires his whole team. The service staff, from the front desk to the restaurant and housekeeping, were all consistently excellent. They were always polite, helpful, and eager to assist. Whether it was a quick check-in, a prompt room service delivery, or a friendly greeting in the hallway, the team's commitment to making guests feel valued was evident in every interaction. The food at the hotel was delicious, and the dining experience was made even better by the attentive service. We could not be more grateful to have chosen Dolkhar Resort as our base for exploring Ladakh in late September 2024. The overall experience was beyond perfect and really made a huge difference to our travel. We were so impressed by how everything was coherent and beautifully curated in such remote location. The property is really flawless and done in such good taste. Everything is sustainable without any compromise on the comfort and aesthetics. We loved every detail of it. Their lovely staff helped us arrange everything before coming and define the itineraries for both the local trips while staying in Leh as well as the few days trip to the more remote locations. Everyone was extremely kind and looked after us during our stay. We ate at Tsas restaurant everyday and tried probably all the dishes which were local or modern interpretation of the local cuisine and each time it was a beautiful experience. It was clear to us that the people behind Dolkhar have put a lot of heart and thought to make this place so special. Thank you so much to everyone at Dolkhar for this exceptional experience and making our travel so perfect and easy.

The beautiful, spacious and clean rooms. The hotel is only a couple of years old. The WiFi was fast and reliable. Fantastic helpful staff especially Naman on the front desk and the Chef. The owner kindly arranged a taxi to pick us from the airport and was available throughout our stay if we needed any help. Great location with the main market a short 10 minute walk. Delicious breakfast and room service provided by the talented Chef and his team. Really going to miss the masala omelettes for breakfast.

    Go very well prepared and it takes atleast 24 to 48 hours to get acclimitized , carry the necessary medicine and check the hotel if they have oxygen cylinders too. Overall a Very beautiful place with honest people and dont miss going to Tibeten Kitchen have dinner.

    Excellent place to visit.

    Excellent place to visit. Has varied topography,landscapes and terrain. Infrastructure is just amazing. It has rivers,lakes , mountains and dessert. The pangong lake is just out of this world. Nubra valley is worth a visit and also all the monasteries and the palaces.

    1. Leh itinerary of 7 to 8 days is good for visit most of the places in Ladhak less Kargil. 2. 2/3 day of acclimatization is necessary at Leh. 3. Places of interest are Shanti Stupa, Leh Palace, Leh Market, Shey, Hemis & Thiskey Monasteries, Hunder sand dunes, Turtuk, Pangong Tso, Khardung La & Chang La Pass. 4. Travelling for 5 to 6 hrs daily. 5. Keep yourself hydrated. 6. Best travel time is May to Jun/ Jul. Aug is hot. By mid sep the passes may close.

    Beautiful monasteries and the town is cleaner the other Indian places. The Laddakhi people are honest, quiet, and not pushy with customers. All in all, a breath of fresh air from the filth and madness that characterizes much of the country.

    I thoroughly enjoyed getting to know my way around Leh.

    I thoroughly enjoyed getting to know my way around Leh. There is, pretty much, everything you might need from clothing to medicine, souvenirs, and even oxygen and gas cannisters! The wide cultural variety was always in full view. Don't forget that altitude and illness can affect your appreciation of the region, as I discovered. From sea-level to 1100ft in one heave needs to be taken seriously!

    A wonderful stay at Snow Lion Ladakh! Anu and Arnab have both been very warm and helpful making our family stay the ideal the 3 days we were expecting before a challenging trek. Anu has gone to every length to inform us on how to acclimate as well as possible, connect us with every services we needed (transportation, medical etc...) and Arnab has shared his many years of experience on trekking in the region. Heartfelt thanks to both of them.
