    The Hallormsstaður area is on a beautiful lake with the largest forest in Iceland nearby. Several significant waterfalls, including the 420 ft. Hengifoss, are minutes away by car. And yet the area is just 15 minutes from Egilstaðir and all its city amenities. Really an ideal location for exploring Eastern Iceland!

    Very friendly staff in hotel, nice breakfast buffet including english brrakfast or typical icelandic food and sweets, comfortable mattress, medium hard I would say, quiet room and surrounding, has a gym and small whirlpool if needed

    Great place to stay, clean and tidy with all the facilities you need, stunning scenery off a quiet road.. you will need to bring some food with you, no shops nearby but there is a hotel/restaurant about 13km away which serves food

    Hotel is located in a peaceful and beautiful place with good weather, which is kind of rare for Iceland. Decent room, very nice service at reception.

    It is mix of camping and hotel. Camping is closed in winter so only 2 dedicated rooms are available. Very nice for staying.
