The Valley of the Temples is a good reason for visiting Agrigento - otherwise there is not much to the town. Lots of streets with steps in the Old Town (which is much more interesting to stay in) as it covers a big hill. Indications for people who driving there are poor, I was lost, I pass in front the entrance without realizing it, poor indicators. I stop and I find another car lost too. The car parking too expensive, the entrance tickets expensive, I went really early before there were too many people, I was able to take selfies for the more important monuments without any wait line. You must be ready with plenty of water, if you are going in summer time because its a really long walk under very strong summer lights. I guess you must see it at least once on your life, like everything relevant from our pass times. Obviously I am a simply tourist without knowledge about architecture. My hosts were great.
My hosts were great. When returning from Salle del Turchi, some man wasn’t paying attention and opened his car door as I was passing and I was going slow as there was traffic, and the rental is scratched significantly and I will most likely have to pay for repairs. People drive way too fast. It’s an ok place to visit. If I had planned exactly what to do, besides the Temple ruins, it would have been better.Guest review byRobbinUnited States

You will learn about life in a small village in Sicily. The rooms are extremely big and comfortable. The host was EXTREMELY helpful. We had an accident right before arriving and he helped us a lot improvising to fix the car and taking my grown-up daughters to the Scala dei Turchi while we were taking care of the car. THANK YOU! An authentic home experience with fantastic hosts Alfonso & his wife. We got lots of helpful advice and information from our hosts who informed us of the unique features of this part of Sicily. Breakfast was exceptional with local delicacies. Our food was served on the beautiful local ceramics. It was one if the best bnbs we have stayed at. The hosts are very dedicated to their guests.
