Staying at Hotel Rua Frati 48 in San Francesco was an incredible experience! I was in town for the Cosmoprof fair in Bologna, and choosing this hotel was the best decision. Just a 45-minute drive from the fair, it provided the perfect balance of convenience, comfort, and luxury. The rooms are absolutely stunning—spacious, elegantly designed, and full of character. The dining experience was outstanding, with delicious food and impeccable service. But what truly made my stay special was the amazing staff—warm, professional, and always ready to assist with a smile.and they have a valet parking! After a busy day, returning to this hotel felt like coming home—serene, luxurious, and welcoming. If you’re visiting Modena or need a great place to stay for events in Bologna, I highly recommend this hotel. I will definitely return!

I chose this hotel because it was a 15 minute walk from the station and very near to all the obvious sights of Modena which is a beautiful city with a wonderful cathedral and the huge Galleria Estense - the latter within 5 minutes of the hotel. The hotel breakfast was excellent offering a wonderful selection of ripe fresh fruit, fresh cakes and pastries and a machine for pressing your own orange juice. As well as two hot drink machines there was a large kettle to boil water for tea - so no queues. I was disappointed to be staying only one night!

Beautiful little hotel, where we checked in at 11 PM after our Airbnb didn't work out (the AC was broken with 30 degrees Celsius inside the apartment, among other things) The staff was absolutely lovely, no problems whatsoever ( speak English, Italian, Spanish and Romanian). Our room was ready in the 20 min it took us to get there by foot with our luggage. Excellent recommendations for eating out, or going to the nearby Allbinelli. We went from a horrible start to a wonderful ending, so much so that we would choose to stay with them again. The staff even helped us out and we got to iron our clothes, finally! The rooms are spacious, if simple. For a few days there isn't any need of more, especially with the Albinelli market just 2 min away. The breakfast they serve, they bring their stuff fresh from the market everyday. The Ac works wonderfully, the beds are comfortable. 10 out of 10 for me, would stay again with hotel Cervetta, and a part why we liked Modena so much.

Very relaxed atmosphere in renovated old country villa.

Very relaxed atmosphere in renovated old country villa. Bastiglia has all amenities, including a well stocked small supermarket and many family-owned businesses. It is well served by cycleways, including one which takes you right into Modena. If you are using Google Maps to navigate to the B&B it will take you a long roundabout way via Bomporto, whereas it is better to navigate to the centre/Centro of the village and drive directly to the B&B along the narrow road which runs along the Naviglio. Otherwise, you can use Waze, which will give you the correct directions!
