What an enormous bed!!! Bloody awesome. You could sleep in there with a whole family. Staff amazing, a really nice family hotel. Everything is new and tge breakfast is AMAZING. you will not have lunch that day. Estuti thank you for everything

Everything was excellent. Wonderful food with so many varieties, especially on weekends. On Sunday there was a nice concert during the dinner. Beautiful view, nice swimming pool. The area was beautiful and clean. They also offer free bikes.

The room was large, clean, and comfortable. It had strong water pressure with hot water, and great air-con. It says ‘Eric~South Korea’ I guess because I’m here now. I’m from California and I’ve traveled 126 countries. I was very sick when I arrived at the hotel. I slept long time. When I woke up, I came out and the first thing they did was offer to bring breakfast at 11:30am on several plates. That never happened to me in Cal., any other state in my country, and no other time in these other countries, except this place. When was the last time you were offered the complimentary breakfast at 11:30am?!

The hotel's staff, particularly Thakshila, were the epitome of hospitality. Her warm smile and professionalism were truly unbelievable. As a relatively new property, the hotel looks exactly like the photos - modern, clean, and well-maintained. Its convenient location provides easy access to the road and nearby attractions. What impressed me most, however, was the exceptional care shown to guests. The staff went above and beyond to ensure my comfort, even taking the initiative to clean my bike before I departed! If you're looking for a genuine Sri Lankan hospitality experience in Dambulla, look no further than the Golden Star Hotel. Be sure to meet Thakshila, the backbone of the property, and experience her remarkable hospitality for yourself! *Highly Recommended!*

Quiet and convenient location. The food prepared by Nadeeka was amazing authentic Sri Lankan food using ocal ingredients. All requests were satisfied. Friendly family members and a surprise cultural performance by Nadeeka and Yatawatha's daughters Nishadi and Vishni! One of the most enjoyable homestay experiences I have had.

We chose not to climb Sigiriya (having just recovered from...

We chose not to climb Sigiriya (having just recovered from Adam's Peak!) but instead chose the much shorter Pidurangala which afforded a fabulous view of Sigiriya. Highly recommended. A visit to the Bawa hotel, Heritance Kandalama, is well worth it as an insight into the brilliant architectural mind of Geoffrey Bawa.

Dambulla is an excellent base for exploring Kandy, Anuradhapura, Polonnaruwa and Sigiriya. We stayed there for 4 Nights and could cover the heritage sites easily. Dambulla Caves are a must-see and so is Sigiriya (just 16 Kms. away). Anuradhapura and Polonnaruwa are around an hours drive but Dambulla is much well-connected and less touristy.

I loved everything they have amazing vibe, nothing was to much trouble . All staff kind and helpful. Dambulla is quiet but has local shops, cafes Pizza Hut, great small restaurant a few miles from Evergreen serving very good food. It's run by the people who run Evergreen. So recommended by me.. Anything you want to do or go and see will be arranged for you Tuk Tuk guy is a staff member . If you need car/driver it will be arranged.

Eden grand boasts huge rooms, friendly family run business, great breakfast. A new hotel only opened in the past year and has great potential. Owner was friendly and accommodating, also provided transport to our next location. It is a little bit of a walk outside the main area in Dambulla but perfect for a short stay. Would recommend better wifi and some lighting along the walk up to the hotel if possible but otherwise we enjoyed our stay!

Well situated hotel (just off of Dambulla main street) with good access to transport, and plenty of close by restaurants. Really lovely room (exactly as the photos). Breakfast was amazing, plenty of really good food (paalappam, dosa, omelette, pancakes, toast, fruits). The owner's husband is a taxi driver so can take you to nearby Sigiriya/Pidurangala.

The Green Edge is set in a beautiful location on the outskirts of Dambulla - the local countryside is gorgeous and we really enjoyed cycling around on the bikes provided by the hotel. Sri was an absolutely fantastic host and made all of our arrangements for travel - nothing was too much trouble and we felt really at home.

Hotel was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was tasty and plentiful. We did not want to stay near the very touristy area in Sigiriya with western cafes so staying in Dambulla was a more authentic Sri Lankan experience. I would recommend the Gold Crown Residence.
