I had a wonderful stay at this B&B! The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful from the very beginning, making me feel right at home. The place was spotless, beautifully maintained, and very comfortable. Plus, the location couldn’t be better – just a short walk from the city center, perfect for exploring everything without needing transportation. Highly recommended!

This is approximately a three-star hotel, but it offers service comparable to a five-star standard. The hotel is very close to the Cave Temple and can be easily reached on foot. Although it's located less than 3 kilometers from the city center and there aren’t many restaurants nearby, there are plenty of small supermarkets and shops for daily necessities. A tuk-tuk ride to the city center costs around 500 Sri Lankan Rupees, so the location isn’t really an issue. The hotel room and bathroom are both very clean, with only minor hygiene issues that are acceptable. The only drawback is that the air conditioner is a bit noisy, but since we were quite tired from traveling, it didn’t affect our sleep. Additionally, the hot water in the shower is not very stable—most of the time it’s cold. However, given Sri Lanka’s warm climate, a cold shower is actually quite refreshing, so this wasn’t a major concern for us.

Quiet and convenient location. The food prepared by Nadeeka was amazing authentic Sri Lankan food using ocal ingredients. All requests were satisfied. Friendly family members and a surprise cultural performance by Nadeeka and Yatawatha's daughters Nishadi and Vishni! One of the most enjoyable homestay experiences I have had.

We went as a family of four. Having just arrived to the country all was very new and different. But we were made very welcome by our host family and soon loved everything around us. It was a wonderful experience to stay with a local family. The host Thushara and her son Priyan were fantastic and went out of their way to help with transport and tours we wished to take. They made great breakfast and cooked dinner for us, which was really good local food. We went away having gained a family in Sri Lanka

We chose not to climb Sigiriya (having just recovered from...

We chose not to climb Sigiriya (having just recovered from Adam's Peak!) but instead chose the much shorter Pidurangala which afforded a fabulous view of Sigiriya. Highly recommended. A visit to the Bawa hotel, Heritance Kandalama, is well worth it as an insight into the brilliant architectural mind of Geoffrey Bawa.

Dambulla is an excellent base for exploring Kandy, Anuradhapura, Polonnaruwa and Sigiriya. We stayed there for 4 Nights and could cover the heritage sites easily. Dambulla Caves are a must-see and so is Sigiriya (just 16 Kms. away). Anuradhapura and Polonnaruwa are around an hours drive but Dambulla is much well-connected and less touristy.

I loved everything they have amazing vibe, nothing was to much trouble . All staff kind and helpful. Dambulla is quiet but has local shops, cafes Pizza Hut, great small restaurant a few miles from Evergreen serving very good food. It's run by the people who run Evergreen. So recommended by me.. Anything you want to do or go and see will be arranged for you Tuk Tuk guy is a staff member . If you need car/driver it will be arranged.

Hotel was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was tasty and plentiful. We did not want to stay near the very touristy area in Sigiriya with western cafes so staying in Dambulla was a more authentic Sri Lankan experience. I would recommend the Gold Crown Residence.

The room is little bit small but it includes everything, first there were no WiFi connection but they fixed it and provide the facility immediately, I recommend this place to everyone specially for families, this hotel is near to Dambulla temple.
