"Real glamping" in a Sri Lankan paradise right by a huge Lagoon with the sounds and sights of nature all around is exactly what I came for. Triple protected tents with all the facilities you can imagine. This expierence was such a world apart from my life back in Europe. Thanks to all the wonderful staff that made my stay all the more pleasant. Especially the host JD who has an eye for detail. Should have booked afew more nights here.

We loved our stay here! The villa was wonderful, clean, spacious, lovely pool and we enjoyed the delicious meals which were served on our private terrace and were prepared by a chef both trained in Sri Lankan and European dishes. The staff was very friendly, unobtrusive and the house was a great place to rest. German owners - very easy to work with. We also saw baby turtles on the beach and this made this place even more special. Swimming in the sea was no problem. Thank you for the wonderful stay! We will come back one day for sure.

The Sea Bay Inn feels like one of a kind. The owner and the complete staff have been so nice and welcoming, it felt like home. The room was new, modern and very clean. We've been able to reach the closest supermarket by foot easily and even walked to the city center. The closest beach to the Sea Bay Inn is just down the road and absolutely beatiful. There are not many spots outside of direct sunshine, but the beach is not very crowded. If you need any travel advice around town the owner will help you swiftly, her son is also available with his TukTuk. All in all a very pleasent stay and we would love to come back!

What made our week’s stay at Lagoon Gate Tangalle Resort truly exceptional was how well looked after we were by Lalith and his family. My friend and I were interested in yoga and exploring, and not only did Lalith connect us with everyone to ensure we had the best possible experiences, from yoga and kayaking to whale and turtle watching, but we got to discover the closely connected local community. Rooms were spacious and spotless, our meals were freshly home-cooked, and there was plenty to see in the tropical grounds. Tangalle is a stunning part of Sri Lanka, and we are grateful that we really got to make the most of it.

I recently stayed at Igabara Hobbit House Rakawa, and it was such a wonderful experience from start to finish. The place is truly special — surrounded by nature, filled with greenery, and designed with a lot of creativity and care. The atmosphere is peaceful, making it a perfect escape from the busy city life. The room was very clean, cozy, and beautifully decorated in a unique hobbit-style design that makes you feel like you’re in a little hidden paradise. The garden area and pool are well maintained, and it’s such a nice spot to relax, read a book, or enjoy a quiet evening. The staff were extremely kind, welcoming, and always ready to help with anything needed. They made sure everything was comfortable during my stay.
