We did not expect much,because of the price was low compared to other places,but men was I wrong. Accomodation is clean and well managed,but what really bought me, was the staff and their dedication to make your stay easy and effortless..big thx to Sanju and his Dad,Avi and rest of the crew,we felt like part of the family there.Great and even beyond value for money. We visited the Kalpitiya area for the first time and couldn't imagine staying in any other hotel than Club Mango. From the first moment everyone was so nice to us, they offered to cook us a delicious rice and curry for lunch on arrival that perhaps no other in Sri Lanka surpassed. The chef would deserve at least a Michelin star for his cooking skills. We enjoyed a Sri Lankan breakfast in the morning and enjoyed seafood and fish for dinner. If you love Sri Lankan cuisine, love to eat and love uncrowded places, Club Mango is your best choice in Kalpitiya. We walked to the sea in the morning via 2 shallow lagoons. The staff is very nice and helpful. The rooms are stylish and big enough and of course the gorgeous outdoor bathroom overlooks the palm trees. Great experience and we will definitely be back!

Right on the beach where you could swim easily especially in the morning before the waves got bigger. Rooms were good with the resort garden still full of trees with a resident parrot and squirrel I like some where they have concreted over everything. Nice small pool if the waves are too big for you. Easy beach walks past fishing villages and access to kite surfing places if that is what you are looking for.

I have to say, it exceeded all of our expectations. The villa's were absolutely beautiful and comfortable, with all necessary amenities, including air conditioning which was a lifesaver during the hot days. The pool was a great place to relax after a long day of kitesurfing, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful - they really made it a great experience. One of the highlights of my stay was the delicious local food that was offered. The resort's restaurant served a variety of mouth-watering Sri Lankan dishes that were made with fresh ingredients. The kitchen staff took pride in preparing local dishes and appreciated our interest in their cuisine. After the first three nights we simply asked them to recommend what we should eat (emphasizing that we wanted to eat local Sri Lankan food) which resulted in many dishes to remember. The location of the resort was perfect for kitesurfing enthusiasts like myself, as it was close to many great kitesurfing spots, and the staff were happy to give recommendations and even arrange transportation to the spots. We booked our lessons and rented our gear at Surfpoint which is located at a 10-minute walk from the resort. Overall, I had an amazing experience at Hiru Resort and Kite Surfing, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a luxurious, comfortable and kite-surfing friendly vacation. The combination of the great facilities, friendly staff, delicious food and great location made for an unforgettable experience.

We stayed as a couple for 11 days in this beautiful cottage 1 minute from the beach. It is so quiet and you can relax and retreat very well. There is also a whale skeleton and several beaches are within walking distance. It is also a kitesurfing paradise and there are many donkeys here. You can easily cater for yourself, but there are also several restaurants nearby. The owners are next door and are happy to help at every opportunity. We would come back any time. :-)
