Hotels near Chişinău

Chisinau and its surroundings are very interesting. I stayed close to the city center and so I was able to walk around to see the city market, Pushkin statue, arch of the triumph, Presidential Building, the Moldovan Parliament, the Cathedral park, Stefan the Great City Park, the numerous orthodox churches, etc. There's an inexpensive city bus service, but you may have to know the route and language to use it. I was able to use the YandexGo app to get taxi to get around, but they took only cash and not credit or debit cards. The Letz taxi app does not work with international cellphone numbers. As not many tourists visit Chisinau, day tours are very expensive. The tour company charged me $100 for a basic walking tour of Chisinau main area for 3 hours, and I could have done it on my own as I stayed close to the main area. The day tour to Transinistria was very interesting and I highly recommend it.

Chisanau is a vibrant super clean city where there is no crime,safe to walk the streets unlike in England Every form of transport whether it is minibus, transport buses not only are cheap but run to time Hopefully the president maia sandu will be ready elected not only is beautiful but very cleverI Chisanau like the rest of moldova is stunning in every sense of the word By the way I was born in London and lived in England all my life

The city and its parks were excellent. The place is very clean and tidy, the citizens must take great pride in the place. Plenty of places to eat and drink. Easy to get around as the road signs were at virtually every corner, excellent when following a map. Although plenty of shops, I must have missed those selling local souvenirs. Even the airport didn't seem to sell souvenirs although I may have missed the shop?

Chisinau is well worth a visit and is the most obvious base for some day trips to some key attractions such as Transnistria and Orheiul Vechi. There are enough sights in the city to occupy a few days and the bars and cafes in the two central parks are a real pleasure and welcome retreat from the summer heat. Service is generally good, although quality hotel accommodation in the medium price range can be hard to find and hotel staff not always the best-trained in receiving paying guests. Generally, standards of cleanliness in both hotels and restaurants are extremely high.

Very well organized public transport, it's very cheap and you buy tickets in the bus. Coffee shop on every corner, vegan milk accesible and delicious savory pastries with potatoes and cabbage f.e. This city is a treat for lovers of brutalism and socialist realism. Astonishing ammount of greenery in the city. Amazing market places with local product, fruits and vegetables. Local quisine is delicius, cheap and there's something for everyone. Great locality for short budget trip.

A city with older residential buildings, but the center is modern, clean and well-maintained. Excellent public transport network - trolleybuses (fare 0.3€). Several lakes with restaurants and attractions for spending free time.
