Nice area at the heart of the 3 cities. While the surroundings are similar to Valetta, there is less tourists and more tranquility. Valetta is 2,5Euros and less than 10 minutes away with the ferry that runs every 30'. Plenty of water front eateries, cafes and bars. Not to miss.

Cospicua is a purely residential area.
Cospicua is a purely residential area. No tourist crowds, no loud bars or noisy restaurants. But within 10 minutes by foot you will reach the harbour front and the areas with restaurants and bars.
Friendly people. Little alleys, many stairs (as everywhere on Malta).
Perfect place to relax after a day of walking and doing sight-seeing.

Cospicua is a place for quiet people.
Cospicua is a place for quiet people. It is a good base for travelling. Ferry to Valletta is good there and back. Bormla has buses to everywhere. A round island tour is great for sightseeing and you see more. The fruits confections and bakeries are very very succulent. I liked the soil in Malta`s fields with people in them and crops, a great change from Spanish islands bare lava environment.

Cospicua - being one of the 3 cities - was very quaint and generally quiet.
Very easy to walk around yet convenient to explore other parts of Malta with good bus links and the ferry to Valletta.
It also had a good selection of cafes and restaurants.
Generally a very nice atmosphere and I would certainly consider staying here again.

We loved staying here, this was our 5th time in Malta and for us Cospicua ticked many, many boxes. We were a ten minute downhill walk to the port, so access to Valetta etc was easy. Views of the harbour and forts were breathtaking and the sunsetting made the place very dreamy. Parking was free and easy. No shops near our apartment/house. We found the locals very nice - even the ones that were not serving to selling to us. Some steps are slippery and uneven and although it adds to the charm we wouldn't suggest anyone who has trouble keeping their balance come alone. There are hills to climb and lots of stairs.

You are a short walk via steps or road from the harbour, Fort, Museums, good cafes and restaurants. We particularly enjoyed the Date Art cafe and Enchante restaurant.
There is easy access to Valletta via ferry. A great base for sight seeing which is quieter than Valletta.
